Honda Help
Hey Guys.

I drive a 1994 Honda accord EX with the 2.2 liter VTEC engine. Lately, I have noticed something wrong with my rear right wheel. When I brake, I hear this grinding noise that sounds like a rock is between the pad and the rotor (it has 4 wheel discs). That sound continues for a couple seconds after I let off the brakes completely and start to accelerate. And now, there is a high pitched noise (kinda like "wee-wee-wee-wee-wee") that gets faster as I go faster. Any of you guys have an idea of what could be wrong? Oh yeah, it has 195xxx miles on it and I am the 4th owner.
Maybe the rear disc who is twisted ?

EDIT : Or the "Witness wear" Sorry for the traduction
It could be a number of things.

The grinding noise when applying the brake could be corrosion on either the pads or disc (Rare for this to happen though. Corrosion should only build up if the car has been "stood" for a long time) or it could be the wear indicator. The wear indicator is a small piece of metal attached to the pad. Once the pad wears low enough, the wear indicator will make contact with the disc every time you apply the brake, which lets you know when the pads are close to needing a change.

As for the "wee-wee-wee" noise, this could either be the rear disc warped, or the caliper may be sticking on ever so slightly, thus resulting in the noise, or it could be something to do with the hub.

To be honest though, it's hard to give a diagnosis without actually being there and hearing the noise. The best thing to do would get a Workshop (or someone in your family who knows basic car mechanics) and describe what you think may be wrong, and get them to have a look at it. It shouldn't take them no more than half an hour to get it up on a ramp and look, so it shouldn't cost much either.

If you don't have the money/would not like to do this, then you could always check yourself. Pad's are fairly simple to check.
Thanks for your help, that sounds like what I thought it might be...
