Amend singular is Amendment, it's not very hard. Just seems like someone trying to be funny or spark people to ask questions.
There's no doubt that English is a retarded language, but that's on the basis that we have two alphabets. (one phonetical, and one name for each of the letters).
Some of these questions can be quite easily figured out by simple historical etymology. Seems like it was written by a 2yo yank or a 14yo retard.
Or someone that doesn't have English as their first language....
I mean of course, write many words from many languages without proper context or environmental application and it WILL seem odd.
It's actually a pretty valid point. Why do the letters' 'names' sound so different to the phonemes they represent? If you've ever tried to teach a child to read, you'll find it's a pretty major stumbling block to learning.
Also, something that's always bugged me, is why to the letters of the alphabet have a specific order? Why does A come before B? There's no logical reason why one letter should precede another. Numbers yes, obviously, but not letters.
