Desktop Recorder?
I'm looking for a desktop recorder so I can make a tutorial for Photoshop.

So far i've tried CamStudio and I looked at downloading Gamecam but couldn't find wether it could record my desktop and not just games.

Camstudio worked but when I played back what I had recorded, all the colours were messed up. Tried changing the settings and nothing helped.

So, can anyone recommend any decent desktop recorders? Preferable free.

Before anyone jumps on the bandwagon, i've searched Google and lots came up. Don't want to download every single one to find out they're all shit.
I use Camstudio + their lossless codec, seems to work pretty good for me, its free

Camtasia Studio for me works great for me, actually sometimes better than Camstudio. No colour messups etc.. File sizes are fairly low for long recordings.

I record TV from the TV card, with it at 30-35fps and a 30min to 1 hour show I would normally have about 10GB (nothing on 1TB ), then convert that down to a few hundred MB
Camtasia Studio 6 with 16-bit, or, even better, 24-bit color mode.

You also can change CamStudio's settings so it looks completely lossless (hint: Use CamStudio codec with 0% compression)
I just tried again with CamStudio using the lossless codec and it worked a treat.

Thanks David and Shadow. Have a cookie.
