...Two months ago I replaced my CPU and ram and activated vista by phone, I have since 'misplaced' the key I got from the phone thingy and now there is no option to activated by phone???

Now after an OS re-install I must activate again.

When I select 'change product key' to the one on the sticker on the side of my machine it says it's the wrong key???

also, vista online validation gives an error...

anyone been here before?

call microsoft support...

Get Windows 7 instead of that crap OS....if you even call that an OS...

Im not calling Ms because my phone is in the car and the car is 200 feet away and its raining and cold so I'd rather stay here warm and snug and try to use finger power to get it working

i think the only option is to phone ms support

Thought you got 30 days before you have to activate it.
