Zoom Competition is a LFS racing team founded in June 2009. The team consists only from pure flying finns, and we are hoping to fly on the road on year 2010 aswell!

Anyway we are still preparing for next year, looking good. I will tell you that we are going to participate in iTCC, as some of you might have seen already.

We are also having one driver in the 3 remaining rounds in LFSCART Light Winter Series, I'm driving the races for partly as preparing for the upcoming LFSCART 2010 season.

Not sure about the oval round, but I'm surely driving the 2 road course races. Including this race, we are having 3 races this weekend. LLWS in friday, saturday we've got LFS Finland's 4h race qualifying, and on sunday iTCC Rnd. 1 and the 4h race.

Zoom Competition to launch a new series with Drunk Team Finland!

In really short schedule, we've decided to set up a new finnish league with Drunk Team Finland. Serie is called Arctic LFS Trophy, and has 6 races.

"Hahmo" joins Zoom forces

Zoom Competition has now added one more member to its group. Miro Rauti, a.k.a "Hahmo", has came to join the management section of the team, and in the driver section as a steady and calm driver. This 15 year old zoomster has came to help us in preparing for upcoming leagues in the beginning of this year. See what series he's driving from our website.

A little recap

A new Zoomster on the road: Torppaa!
Zoom Competition has now added one more Zoomster into it's group. Joni Törmälä a.k.a Torppaa is a former Drunk team driver, so now he moved from another Finnish team to Zoom. This young driver has been since 2009, and he's eager to learn new. In 2010 he plans to drive in OWRL, GTAL, LFSCART, ATC and ALFST.

GTAL Round 4: 18th!
The race pace was pretty good and we didnt have any problems during the first 4 hours, and the best position was 4th for a while. When there was about 1 hour and 30 minutes left Torppa had a little contact with S.Hutchinson what caused us to spin and get a little damage.

With the damage it was too hard to drive and this caused to a mistake where we hit the wall and got so much damage that we had to pit. After the pit, Torppa continued driving and in the end Hahmo was going to finish the race. We were 12th just before the last lap, but very unluckily Hahmo timed out in the last lap and we dropped down to 18th.
At the moment we are first in the waiting list hoping to get a place in the team list

ALFST: Round 3
After the unsuccesful round two of Arctic LFS Trophy, the admins of this league
wanted to try if there will be enough racers to keep up going. There was pretty
good race of just about 15 racers and 5 finishing after very difficult race for some.
Our own driver Matiijjas finished 3rd taking the last podium place.

ATC 60 lap GP league: Jokelainen 6th!
The first of the 13 rounds of ATC 60 lap GP league series took place in blackwood gp circuit, with 2 Zoomsters in the starting grid. After 60 laps of intense racing with XFG:s, A.Jokelainen was stepping on the last podium place, but suffered a 20sec penalty which dropped him to 6th place.

OWRL: Start of the season in the second round
The second round of OWRL series saw the start for Zoom's season, with Matiijjas and MaxKay taking place on the grid. With quite a less amount of training, Max made it to 6th in the race, and Matiijjas to 8th place. We are most likely driving in Div A for the whole season.
Next race will take place in WE1r.

LFSCART upcoming in April
We have entered ourselves to LFSCart series, with almost the whole team. LFSCART series will be our main series for this year, and we are hoping for some steady races.
