ermm just a quick question with regard to the tirewalls and tyres, on my machine i am currently using a modified tyre texture for the slick tyres in LFS but i was wondering if there is a way to skin the sidewalls of the tyres? I had a look at the new cmx and sidewall logo which can be edited but not the side wall...
unless i am missing something...??? thanks in advance!
ive attatched images of the slick texture from lfs, it was just a quick 5 min job in photoshop using this image LINK ohh and this one LINK and then some blending, and little bit of shadowing though really took about 5 mins.
the reason i changed the texture was bacause i wanted to see some dirt on the tyre but the main reason behind the edit was to see when i am locking up the front wheels in the single seaters as normally it is very hard to tell. This made it a lot easier But as you can see from the images posted the main part of the tyre has texture and sidewall is default texture which cannot be changed, it kinda makes the tyre look a little bit odd with the lighter ring on the sidewall as you can see. Hope it can be edited somehow in the new update!!
