Hi all! This is something which I can find quite frustrating sometimes in leagues. Sometimes there can be an incident where two drivers collide where a certain driver is clearly at fault but continues on normally as if nothing happened and sometimes, some drivers let them past the next chance they can get to try and rectify their mistake.
Since I was a member of the CRC for sometime, one of the rules which I appreciated and respected was letting other drivers through if you passed them with an unfair advantage or nudging them so I try my best to do that whenever it happens but I've noticed many choose not to and continue to race on normally. If the league is run properly, then it becomes a case of the admin dealing with it as he sees fit but is it still entirely justified even then? Because from my league experience, a driver could nudge another off, causing the other guy to spin round and lose tons of time while the driver who caused the incident gets off with a +10 seconds added to his/her race time which may not be enough to allow the other driver to achieve a higher position than him/her due to the high probability of the gap being larger than 10 seconds.
So, how would you view a situation like this? It could be said that maybe a harsher method of penalisation could help resolve the problem but its not really something that can be easily calculated since there are varying degrees of contact.
