You can't upgrade the graphics card in your laptop
Some newer laptops, seems like u can swap CPU/GPU/RAM on these. Thats what i saw while watching how 1 model was dissambled or like opened.

Anyways, yea. U cant swap the graphics card. Try to lower your settings/resolution. Maybe switch to 16bit color resolution and that stuff.

What was your main aim @ getting this laptop??

Because if it was for gaming, you got robbed!! :Kick_Can_

The Aspire 5735-4744 has the following specifications:
  • 15.6” WXGA glossy display (16:9 aspect ratio, 1366x768 resolution, model AUO10EC)
  • Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit
  • Intel Pentium Dual-Core T3200 processor (2.0GHz/1MB L2/667MHz FSB)
  • 2GB DDR2-667 RAM
  • 160GB 5400RPM hard drive (Western Digital WD1600BEVT)
  • Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics
  • Intel GL40 chipset
  • Atheros AR5B91 802.11 Draft-N wireless
  • DVD Super-Multi drive
  • Full-size keyboard w/ number pad
  • Weight: 5.9 lbs
  • Dimensions: 15.1” (W) x 9.9” (D) x 1.5” (H)
  • Six-cell battery (11.1V, 46Wh/4600mAh)
Not to bad specs if its for general use, such as school.
But no real "eye candy" hardware in that.....

You could try an external graphics unit solution,I seen some around about a year ago.Was hunting for the father-in-law,his desktop slimline had similar issues with his..

I will hunt down a few links & post them here shortly

Ok,here we go..Perfect solution

Well, the CPU seems to be seriously slow. GPU ... dont know. Ive seen people playng modern warfare with it, no serious problems and low-med settings. Ram is kind of from stone age too.

Well, isn't everyone so rich to have DDRIII RAM's running on 1800MHz. I also have 2GB DDRII running on 667MHz and I can play MW 1 on highest MW 2 on almost highest, DiRT all on high (not ULTRA, only high). So, you really think it's from stone age?

There are 50 million different Acer 5735z's - thats the spec for just one.

Those "" dont match with your current attitude/mood that ur putting in ur message. Just sayn (it looks stupid)

Anyways, 667Mhz is slow. And ur seriously taking it over the top. DDR3 1800Mhz? Dude please. Next time try to saveup 1 postcount, or else type something that makes more sense.

So? They're slow. And I'm in Croatia. And I don't have money to buy better... So?
And here's the post... It's not 1800, but it's 1600MHz and DDRIII. http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?p=1394219#post1394219

Most (in fact as far as i'm aware - all) laptop chipsets don't support DDR800 and so they will all be running at DDR667 speeds.

DDR3 is faster - but on a Core 2 architecture CPU DDR3 provides very little speed benefit (although it does use less power which is nice).

Yes, people have been designing external GPU's for ages - yet to see a single proper solution for sale though.

In short - your stuffed. Get a better laptop, or better still get a decent desktop.
Thanks everyone. Im only using this untill i get my desktop back. What would it cost me to buiuld a gaming computer??? ( australian dollars please )
about 1000 at least.
