Just wondering if virtual side mirrors are possible, and if so, how do I turn them on? I have turned on the virtual center mirror, but I'd also like to have more control over what's on the sides of my car.

When I race two seated cars Im using the left side layout, but the right hand side mirror is out of view. I can turn my head to look into it, but then it's too small to really make out the distances as I can with the left hand side mirror (which is in my view without having to turn my head). Most of the accidents I cause has to do with cars on my right hand side that I havent spotted.

As far as I know, there are no virtual side mirrors. But I suggest that you create a custom in-car view: Center the view in car and don't draw the driver. back the camera out so you can see both mirrors and voilà...but it is a bit of a funky view...I just use the map...with a bit of practice, you can determine which side of you a car is on with a glance.

Make sure you turn off your mirrors within that custom view - the FPS go down the tubes when mirrors are on and you're looking backwards at the same time. Just something I've always noticed.

Also, have you noticed that the side mirrors don't actually show more than the centre mirror? The side mirrors are essentially just the centre mirror split into two. This is probably why you can't enable virtual side mirrors as you wouldn't gain anything.

Realistic side mirrors would be nice, but in time I guess.

But I know what you mean, I find it impossible to figure out who is on my left (driver opposite to you). If look left and then lose my line I usually mess it up. If I allow room for the driver next to me so I don't squish them on the inside or against the wall then they'll fly past me.
