Working Solution for LFS Activation through proxy server!
Hello,

first sorry for my bad english :-)

Here is a step by step solution to activate LFS when you're behind a firewall/proxy server.

1. Download the tools HTTPort 3.SNFM and SocksCap. (use google to find a download server)

2. Install both tools

3. Start & Configure HTTPort

enter the proxy IP and port in the proxy tab
Field: Host name or IP adress

Chosse Bypass mode: Remote Host

On the Port Mapping Tab only activate the two checkboxes at the bottom
Run Socks server (port 1080) and
Full Socks4 Support (bind)

Then on the Proxy Tab click on the Start button in the right bottom.

4. Start & Configure SocksCap

Click on New. Enter a Profile Name (e.g. LFS)
In the command line field choose the lfs.exe where you have installed LFS
Set Working Dir to where you have installed LFS

Click on File->Settings

Set Socks Server to: 127.0.0.1 and Port to 1080

Protocol: Socks Version 4

Click ok, then right-click on the Application Profile LFS and choose:
Run Sockisfied!

5. When LFS starts make your normal activation process.

Done!
Excellent solution if your proxy supports SOCKS, certain proxies (eg for academic institutions) however do not support SOCKS nor HTTP Connect in which case one may be SOL as i was in my uni halls.
