skinning program?
What program are you guys using when you are skinning?
The most common seem to be Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro. The only other somewhat capable editor seems to be Gimp (but tbh I can't stand it).

Quote from thisnameistaken :Actually I use Macromedia Fireworks for most stuff, and then drop into Photoshop if I ever want to do stuff that Fireworks can't do. Fireworks has really cool vector tools that draw anti-aliased bitmap lines and fills that you can edit by editing the vector. It's a really nice, fast way to work - much nicer than Photoshop's pen tool IMHO.

Yep, Fireworks all the way It is hard for some people to cope with at first, but Fireworks is very powerful if you know what you are doing.

I could never stand skinning in Photoshop, as I am usually finding it frustrating that things take a bit longer than in Fireworks. (more steps required in PS).
indeed fireworks is awsome. Its so much more simple to use, great for beginner skinners
