Ferrari GT Experience wheel issue
I have recently purchased a Thrustmaster Ferrari GT Experience wheel for the PC/PS3 and I had noticed two things -
  • Prior to the image on the Amazon website, the wheel does not have white outlines for the buttons so I have presumed that the wheel is NOT the latest model (It came from the Amazon warehouse so it is most likeley not dodgy).

  • The wheel does not steer to a 1:1 ratio, rather, executing a full turning angle (90 degrees) produces 360 degrees wheel rotation on screen.
(I have also noted that after downloading the official driver and software from Thrustmaster, opening the 'Set up USB Game Controllers' link on the Control Panel (Win 7) and turning the wheel to 90 degrees displays the wheel to what looks like whatever's in between 90 and 180 degrees).

Could any kind Gentle(wo)men please tell me if there is a way to produce 1:1 steering from the wheel to LFS, or if I'm doing something wrong.

On options I have:

Wheel turn: 90*
Wheel turn compensation: 1.00
Force strength: 0
...
Button control rate: 7.00
Thr / Brk centre reduction: 0.00

Help would be greatly appreciated .
My first advice? sell it and save for a G27.

I've had a really bad experience with this wheel, the one I bought came fine, until the shifter paddle springs went.

Honestly-considering it only costs about £40 and by the sounds of it you haven't had it long I'd leave the company-go for something slightly more expensive, or maybe even buy a DFGT/DFP With 900'-they're about £40/50 on eBay, which is a hella load better than £30 on amazon-return it for a full refund claiming that something had majorly gone wrong and I dunno, be creative-say it just doesn't work with your computer/PS3 and you don't want a replacement.

My G27 actually kicked the GT's ass. AND the saiteks.

SHORT SUMMARY-Sell the wheel-buy a DFGT from ebay.
