While racing against a full grid of AI, because I was bored...
Racing with mouse... because too lazy to plug in wheel.

I am having issues lately with the view automatcially changing to another car, as if it was pressing TAB 6 times automatically. cannot predict when it happens, it just happens randomly, some times often, some times randomly... and I obviously crash lol.

maybe you clicked on positions list and selected some AI, and then LFS switches view to that AI. Solution for this would be hiding mouse while racing (SHIFT+Z)

I also think it's this. Or you click on the car arrows in the mini map.

Ok hopefully that is all it was... it felt like it was something I was doing. And I have not raced with mouse in a LONG time.

Yeah most likely that, happens to me all the time
