Annoying Photoshop bug/feature.
If anyone knows what the fck is wrong with Photoshop i would apreciate it.
Problem is, i'm doing some yearbook thing, you know like the whole class with names beyond every kid.
When i try to drag a picture directly from like TC or My computer onto the template, the picture ends up beeing bigger then it is, BUT if i drag it to Photoshop first and then onto the template, it fits perfectly. Also in the first case it ends up beeing a smart object (which i do want) and in the other it's just a rendered layer.

Is there a way it doesn't ends up beeing bigger if i drag directly onto the template AND remains a smart object?

Use InDesign.. I used it to create a Yearbook in the school (200+ pages tho)..

check if your file's dpi is set to 300.
Quote from JJ72 :check if your file's dpi is set to 300.

That was exactly the issue, cheers, my brother showed me today.. the DPI of the template ( or picture onto which you want to drag something) has to be the same as the file you are dragging..
But strangely i don't have to change DPI if i drag the files from photoshop..

also, if you don't want it to be smart object, when dragging from TC or other apps, make sure you don't drop it INSIDE the photoshop document, but instead drop it onto the bar on top of Photoshop application (where you have File, Edit, Image etc. buttons) - this way the file will open as another document inside PS.
