Setup questions for FE1
I'll be racing next week at FE1 with the UFR and in practice I find the front tyres particularly the front left overheats after only one lap. Would it be recommended to go with R4 tyres? I have tried driving smoother and doing heel and toe shifting which means they might last only 2 or 3 laps instead of 1.

I have tried setups that I got online but found them to either understeer or oversteer too much.
Well what you should do will depend on the setup youre using as a base. The first thing is IMO you should find the set which you would want to use as a base, and then stick with that and work on improving that.

Then post it here with an SPR of driving or something so someone can actually see what might be wrong with it.
Seems you are driving with H-Shifter & Manual clutch, there is nothing wrong with this by the way.

You are shifting WAY too slow. You actions on the clutch are somewhat, sloppy, you want to be rapid, but smooth at the same time. The lines you take around the track are no where near optimal, they are way off. Perhaps you could try using the LFS Default racing line provided when pressing the '4' key on your keyboard, just as a rough guide.

I dont think its so much as setup problems, only that you are lacking in experience.

Try watching the current world record for this combo, it should give you a great insight as to the line you take on corner entry, middle and exit, not forgetting braking and acceleration points.
