Greetings from Lithuania!
We (a small group of friends) are participating in an international Lithuanianfolk music audio visualization. It’s purpose is to encourage young people’sinterest in Lithuanian folk music, develop their creativity.
You can check the video directly here.
Now about the video itself (check the video first, you may get the idea yourself ). It is about 2 brothers which went to war, left their sisteralone in homeland and never came back. In reality she’s having a hard time experiencing the loss (no colors) but then she still wanders around in her memory, remembers good times (blue mist, colors).
There was a letter from us, brothers. I tried translating it, should be correct enough to get the idea .
Dear Rasa,
Everything is so much more different in the war than we ever imagined. It’s so cold that it stings us relentlessly. Forest which has been a shelter all this time now becomes a symbol of death but we are not losing our hope. At nights when we are resting under clear sky we are thinking about you, about homeland…Remembering the time we spent and all the fun we had together warms us up on tough evenings, furthermore your encouraging words which are always in our minds gives us hope even at the hardest hours.
And then there were Rasa’s thoughts
Every single moment I’m feeling as you’re close by, watching me, protecting me, encouraging me. But you’re so far away! Eyes can’t see you, but my hands can still feel your last touch and warmth. But where are you now, where are you now, where are you now?
The point of my thread is that we really need your vote. We put our hearts into this project and it means a lot to us. Voting can be found here. You will need to log in (use “Sobis” as login and “asd123” as password) and then you will see BALSAVIMAS in green (unfortunately there is no possibility to vote when in English mode). After getting into BALSAVIMAS page, go to the very bottom where you will see the voting. Press the bar below “8. Joniškio „Aušros" gimnazija, „Miegučio noriu“” and you’re done!
Your help is very, very much appreciated. Thank you!
