I thought about two problems from league racing in the past years with the start/finish area of the Kyoto Oval in its configurations.
Problem one is that the curved pitlane causes some problems by leading people to cut through it, to shorten it, which does some effect in Kyoto with the long pit lanes. Moreover in case of an accident in this area, people could be kicked into pitlane or out of bounce, as an accident would play ping-pong between the walls.
Second is the chicane leading from the oval to the GP Long loop, where, in endurance racing especially, the so called Boothy Chicane was installed via Autocross editor to slow down the racers on the approach. However, there are a few people who like the original layout of GP Long.
I tried to attack both problems with this idea, without changing the original character too much, seeing that the chicane is having an additional, slower layout. Keep in mind that this is just my personal idea and not a true proposual.
