Why just 18 tracks for the ranks on hotlaps?
Hi

Does anyone know why there is only a selection of 18 tracks to get the ranks in a particular car? None of them are the "rev" tracks either, and it also doesnt include the new patch tracks either?

Is there a reason why all track combos are not included in the ranks for each car type?

That's just the MHR (main hotlap rank). You can select the "Nutter" ranking on the top left, which includes all 800+ tracks.
It's actually the UFR hotlap chart bal00.

I think the devs have just decided to make a selection of nice tracks instead of using all tracks for the car specific charts, so it would be easier to "participate" in such ranks. Probably the selected tracks even have some sort of connection (length, laptime, etc.), or they are balanced to have various track flavors in the ranks.

Just my thoughts.

im doing hotlaps for just 1 car but there is only 18 for the rank in that car, i know about the MHR and nutter ranks which include all cars / tracks.

if you want to concentrate on 1 car theres only 18 to do as your pic shows.
The individual car ranks should be updated with the new tracks. The whole point of the car rank is that you drive it at every track (but not reverse, as there'd be too many tracks).

The MHR choices are also pretty poor, I made a thread about it but haven't managed to convince Victor yet.

yeah I'd like to see more tracks too in car ranks, and actually I wouldn't mind at all if there were ALL tracks included.. nah.. skip the oval crap

IMHO many of LFS tracks are better reversed, well at least for hotlapping.. (e.g. SO sprint 2 :schwitz

Agreed!

why would there be too many tracks if they included reverse? i mean even if there were 200 tracks you would still have a rank if you did 1 of them, as it is at the moment. my favourite track is SO town reverse (im not very fast its just an example) but it doesnt count toward the rank so if you like a reverse track you lose out on the rank in that car. i understand that the MHR would have too much to do, but if you want to specialize in a certain car it should have every track in my oppinion. that way you arnt forced into hotlapping a track you arnt very good at to get a rank. if you include them all it would be more fair on everyone.

so is there any reason why there is 18 tracks for the car ranks?

Sorry but what is this Nutter you're referring to?
I see no mention of it on the screen I'm looking at.
Are you saying that there are more than the tracks that are shown as the variations of Blackwood, South City Aston etc.??
Just how does one access them please?
The "Nutter" rank is just below the "MHR" rank. Every hotlap, you drive, gets recorded there and the one with the most hotlaps driven has rank 1.

There are no additional tracks; he didnt mean 800+ tracks, but 800+ combos.
