The online racing simulator
GOG - An awesome gaming website that needed a longer title !
Edit: I tried just putting GOG as the title but we need at least 6 characters, hence the extra......

I don't know if people have caught up with the latest sale but, Mount and Blade is FREE ATM. On Steam it's 75% off.

Also, the Witcher 2 is free if you collect 7 stamps. See the front page.

They also have a lot of other stuff on sale.

And, rather than wasting your money on the Civilisation, Beyond Earth. There is the original Sid Meiers Alpha Centauri. Which is still, after all these years a better game, at a fraction of the cost.

I also recommend 'King of Dragon Pass'. There's an updated version for iOS, the original is here and there's going to be a revised PC version coming out. And that makes LFS's development seem rocket fast !
15 years since the last PC update. It's still an awesome game and the graphics are still contemporary.

'The player controls the seven-member clan ring leading the clan, providing leadership to the clan in all aspects of its life from rituals to diplomacy. The ring can make two macro-level decisions per each of the five seasons in the Gloranthan year. Random events are drawn from a pool of hundreds and are often influenced by previous decisions. In battle, the player determines the goals and preparations, and possibly chooses the actions of his nobles at pivotal moments.

To succeed, a player must balance the various needs of survival and prospering, as well as manage the problems presented by the setting or the clan individuals - a lack of food might be solvable by clearing more farmland, but when the forest responds by sending a talking fox to urge leaving the trees alone, a wrong choice could bring the clan hunters to war with their environment. Likewise, should a member of the clan act in a selfish and foolish manner, action needs to be taken to stabilize and defuse the situation, if necessary.

KoDP contains no animation whatsoever, instead depicting people and events with lavish hand-drawn artwork. The game has elements of strategy, construction and management simulation, and role-playing video game, even though it offers no proper alter ego.'

Just found this, LFS has far too higher pc spec requirements .....

System Requirements - Pentium or equivalent 16Mb RAM

And the history and future.

You can learn a lot about King of Dragon Pass, but it will always be something of a puzzle. This is more than a decade old, and it still creates a more convincing illusion of conflict and consequence than anything I've played in the meantime. You couldn't quite say it is the future of interactive narrative, not least because that would be thirteen years too late. But it's one of the most expansive and fascinating cul-de-sacs you'll ever spend time in.

I must have missed the special for Mount & Blade, it's cheaper on Steam.
