Any background processes running that are using alot of RAM? iTunes sometimes take alot or a firefox/IE window being minimised or open. Or are you running it on a higher screen rez than necessary? Two common fps problems.

Perhaps the PC has on-board video. If so you may be very limited and system RAM may also be taken up by integrated video solutions. I use the word "solutions" with tongue firmly planted in cheek.

hmm what do ya mean by onboard video? lol like its recording everything i do in the pc? lol heres the specs if it helps any...like i said its my moms pc haha

Intel Celeron PCU 2.53GHz
2.53GHz,224MB of RAM
SiS 661FX graphic card
17" LCD Acer moniter
Those specs are your problem.
*celeron
*low ram
Im not sure on the video card tho..

Dont bother trying to race until you get your rebuilt machine back.
Yeah.. SiS make motherboard chipsets I believe, that'll be an onboard graphics card...

It won't run LFS very well at all I'm afraid...

"On-board" or "integrated" video means that instead of having a graphics card that physically plugs into a slot on your motherboard, the board has the graphics chips hard-wired on. This is a low cost solution and has some advantages of which gaming is not one. In many cases integrated video will have some RAM of its own and may or may not share your normal system RAM. So in your case you may be limited to 128 or even 64MB of video RAM and maybe sharing your system RAM too.

Some motherboards have both integrated video and an availble slot for a proper video card. In this case it is an easy task to disable the integrated video and install a proper card into the available slot. If your board does not have an available slot for a video card then you can not upgrade the video of that PC any further.

Race sims typically can cause your CPU make a lot of calculations since there can be a lot of physics to manage. A celeron CPU is not the best candidate for the job but is propbably further hindered by slow video performance (and possibly a lack of RAM) in your particular situation.
ahh o well ok well thanks alot guys for the help....have my machine back in a couple months along with my new wheel...but thanks again
