XRT skin, metallic, and others
ok,its not really a skin, but i think its nice
i used a reflection mod to make it this way, its more a metalic look
check this, updates will come

uh.. looks like a plain car to me
thats whats it means to be...for now, just wanna give a pic of the metalic look.i'm allmost finished with the skin for it
Which bit is metallic? Just looks like a blue skin to me. Is it just a blue skin, or have you actually done anything to it to give it a 'metallic look' (which I can't see)?

At least you're trying, and in a few weeks you'll be able to make proper skins Better than taking the default white skins and putting two low res logos on it I suppose.
haha
yea the picture doesn't really show a metallic look... ill post the "good" skin in a min
I wanna see that....waiting
Me too.
im pretty sure its just plain black tristan, its just that reflection mod that .. has a really blue sky and a massive tree giving it that blue color

..think im kinda glad i got rid of reflection mod
hehe, sorry i didnt post the pic last night...i don't like the skin.. ill really make it now and post it
i made a new skin, say whats you think about it

heres a screenshot.
notice the blue tip on the exaust

you need to clean that off, and adjust the textures around the seems as your large Hi-Bite logo for one is just chopped off.

It's a good start, in the right direction, although I did think we where going to get a demonstration of your photoshop skills ...

This is a skin: http://www.bansheestudios.com/ftp/XRTpreview.jpg
Notice the fixed aspect ratios on the bonnet logo, and the texture wrapping around all the seemlines.

EDIT: Replied in the wrong thread - but to the same guy so i'll leave it here ... Just hope the tense doesnt make me sound like a total ... oh wait, you all think i'm a total 'bravo' anyway so it doesnt matter ...

i'm not good with colors...
u know pictuning?
u take a pciture of a standard car and "tune" it with photoshop...
thats where my skills are
That skin of yours. The blue is too pure, and there is dark decals on dark base color, you cant see them and it will look horrible.
well, i didn't found out how to add a aluminium look to it, but here it is.
i focused allot more on the details... tips to make it better would be nice

i needed the aluminium look to make it look more gold.
#15 - joen
It looks much much better than the previous one. Colourwise that is, because it's still basically a one-colored car with decals on it. But definitely better.
The decals still seem a bit, uhm... big, can't find a good word. It makes it look very crowded. I usually take 1 or 2 brands to be the "main sponsors", and make the others smaller and supplemental. In this one everything is big. Could be a matter of personal preference but if you take a look at real racecars, it's often like that. Well, apart from skins in the "drifting scene" but those skins are horrible anyway (imo).
And loose the carbon bonnet, it looks really out of place, as it does on every skin I have ever seen with that thing (imo)
Quote :i needed the aluminium look to make it look more gold

LOL! Quote of the week
Aluminium doesn't really look very gold, km!
i mean't the shine of aluminium...
and i wan't to add "bows" to it.i dunno how to make em...
u know? like a stripe making a turn
i dunno what the right word in english is...
any help on how to do that?
I love your signature, where are you going to get with that attitude?
hehe didn't knew anything else to put at that moment ...
updated the sig, this post is to dee if it works
But why the carbon hood

And isnt Inject also an oil company?
Use of gradients and shading in photoshop, that's how you get the metallic look as per that screenie. Also a small addition of 'noise' can give a metal-flake type effect, but only use gently.
