League Information

The French League, also called by Frenchies the "Ligue FR", is a friendly league running since the earlier years of LFS on LFS France. It was originally founded by MT-Shark, and since 2008 it moved on the Gcomp plateform build by Gai-Luron, which is also know for his LFS Lapper. It has been managed and ran by many hoster/admins (Shark, Loconstant, Quaid, Momo92i, Worm...), but since 2013, System (Kova.) stayed in charge of it, and has never stopped it despite the lowering grids.
Basically made for french talking people, it has always allowed strangers of another nations to compete in, without any restrictions.
The concept is to take part to a certain amount of events which is an average of 10 to 12 events per season, among which you have 3 jokers, which mean you can miss or fail 3 events during the whole season, they won't be counted. Each event is made by more or less than 4 weeks of pre-qualifying, in which you compete to set your fastest lap on the designed combo at the server, in order to set your grid position. The pre-qualifying ends the night from Sunday to Monday at midnight, french time. And then the following monday at 9:15 pm french time, takes place the race for about 30 mins.

Monday 3rd February, Rockingham, United Kingdom, it was the place of the 2025 season's start for the French League. After a winter break that lasted a couple of weeks, the french community was back in action with the "Ligue FR". As usual, the infamous UF1 started the season, and the racers were awaited at the RO2 Rockingham National track. KingOfIce, the 2024 champion, did set the pole position "once again", but it's to be noted that since the Round 9 in end of October 2024 that he didn't scored a pole position, as it was Jsk (x2) and Kip who took the 3 last poles of the 2024 season. L.Rydh tried his best to make it a 4th time, but infortunately the Swede couldn't make any better than the second place. Behind, a tight fight between GUM Garage and FSR Team appeared, as they occupied all the positions from 3rd to 9th... Donald was 4th, in front of Kip, and returner Gerti who was last seen in 2018, and fresh recruit for the FSR Team. The league's "Minister of laps" Daf was 7th, in front of DLV, Pigeon and Proxima to complete the top 10, out of 19 drivers on the starting grid.

At the start, L.Rydh got off to a better start than the poleman, KingOfIce, as the latter even dropped to 3rd, leaving 2nd place to Yorry. In the pack, the first drama of the evening happened. Daf tried to insist on System's side, coming along the 3rd corner. System tried to be fairplay leaving space on his left side, but infortunately a bumpy right side of the track left him closing the door. Daf had still a few meters of space, but as he insisted, the contact was unavoidable, and infortunately, the GUM driver spun to the sand and immediatly gave up the race, while System continued to the 3rd corner. In the front, KingOfIce immediatly took back the second place from Yorry before entering the 4th corner, with one aim : get back to the lead. While KingOfIce was chasing L.Rydh, the fight settled in the field with Pigeon, Kip, DLV, Gerti and eventually System. The 2 lasts ones fighted hard enough that Gerti had to take a escape on the grass, dropping to 13th. On the 5th lap, KingOfIce passed L.Rydh, the Team Winners driver couldn't do much to keep the champion behind him, as he escaped to build a winning gap. A couple of laps latter, it was Donald who got the best from Yorry for the last step on the podium. As for L.Rydh, the Bulgarian driver from FSR Team couldn't do much to keep the GUM Garage car. In the end, after 4 races staying winless (his last win was from 23rd September with the XFR at Aston), KingOfIce started his 2025 season by the best manner, coming back in the winning circle by winning the first race. L.Rydh follows him in 2nd place, in front of Donald and Yorry. Behind, Pigeon would follow in 5th, in front of Kip, Proxima, DLV, Gerti. System complete the top 10, finishing just a couple of hairs in front of NFR's boss, Nanex.

No big deal on the driver championship, as the season just started, the drivers are classified in the same order than the race results. Meanwhile on team's side, GUM Garage evidently takes the lead with the double podium. They are ahead of FSR Team by "only" 6 points : only because last year, GUM Garage started with a 18 points gap ahead of System's clan. Next round will be held on the 4th March, by using XFG on the chaotic SO1 South City Classic.
