The French League, also called by Frenchies the "Ligue FR", is a friendly league running since the earlier years of LFS on LFS France. It was originally founded by MT-Shark, and since 2008 it moved on the Gcomp plateform build by Gai-Luron, which is also know for his LFS Lapper. It has been managed and ran by many hoster/admins (Shark, Loconstant, Quaid, Momo92i, Worm...), but since 2013, System (Kova.) stayed in charge of it, and has never stopped it despite the lowering grids.
Basically made for french talking people, it has always allowed strangers of another nations to compete in, without any restrictions.
The concept is to take part to a certain amount of events which is an average of 10 to 12 events per season, among which you have 3 jokers, which mean you can miss or fail 3 events during the whole season, they won't be counted. Each event is made by more or less than 4 weeks of pre-qualifying, in which you compete to set your fastest lap on the designed combo at the server, in order to set your grid position. The pre-qualifying ends the night from Sunday to Monday at midnight, french time. And then the following monday at 9:15 pm french time, takes place the race for about 30 mins.
This last monday evening was held the 3rd round of the french league. For the first used mod of the season, the honors were again - as per the previous season - for Flame_CZE's ERESO. And what more challenger to use it on Westhill National Reverse route? After 3 weeks of pre-qualification, we saw the reigning champ, GUM Garage's KingOfIce pulling a impressive time for the pole position, in a car he appreciate muchly. His team mate Pigeon completes the second line, despite risking his feathers on the last day of the pre-qualifications. Master Race Cars's JSK and Team Winner's were completing the second row, in front of GUM Donald, and the first French Street Racers driver, DLV. Derinus, System, Kip and Proxima would complete the top 10 of 19 qualified drivers.
At the start, Pigeon took a great fly off his spot, and did the exact remake of the 3rd round of the 2024 League with the ERESO but which was at Aston : Passing his team mate and rival for this race, KingOfIce, at the start to then keep the command of the race. It indeed worked as the Aussie entered the first corner leading ahead of KingOfIce. On the Top 10, almost everyone behind them swapped their position : Rydh took Jsk's 3rd place, DLV taking Donald's 5th place, same with System about Derinus' 7th place, and Proxima on Kip's 9th place... On the second lap, while Pigeon was taking the escape, L.Rydh tried to attack KingOfIce, but the french reigning champ decided to froze his hopes, as the Swedish driver had to take a quick mowing at the exterior of the first corner's exit. This allowed JSK to take back his provisonal position on the podium. While Derinus got his 7th place from a resistant System, on the 4th lap, JSK decided to try the mowing feature of the ERESO... With not a lot of success, as the Slovakian then drowned in the ranking, to end up just behind the FSR Team's boss. Then they fighted for 2 laps, allowing Derinus to build a matress against System. At the same time, Donald took the best from DLV for the 4th position, and the next lap, JSK passed Derinus. Afther the mid race, the things spiced up on the top of the race. KingOfIce was desesperately trying to freeze the Pigeon, but the latter was hot enough to keep his head warm, and also keep the lead of the race, despite a fierce battle who saw the 2 GUM Garage's driver scratching their fender with the most respect possible! That battle was allowing L.Rydh to close the gap. Meanwhile furthermore on the Top 10, we could see Cyk starting to improve his pace more and more. He first took the best off Proxima, and then was smelting the gap on System! But the 2024 league's runner-up wasn't ready to leave his 8th place and started to wake up from his no man's land, forcing Cyk to put all he could from his car. Unfortunately, the latter would make a costly mistake 3 laps before the end of the race, switching from 3rd gear to 1st, and causing a little - but enoughly annoying - damage to his engine. This allowed Proxima to get back to 9th before the final lap. At the top of the race, Pigeon entered the last lap still as leader, with KingOfIce very close, but also L.Rydh joining the final party! Unfortunately, nothing would change despite this hot final lap, and Pigeon becomes the 3rd different driver to win in 3 races! KingOfIce follows him in 2nd for a GUM Garage's 1-2. L.Rydh take the last spot on the podium, followed by Donald, DLV, JSK, Derinus, System, and Proxima. But for the 10th place, the things spiced up, with Cyk and his sick engine followed by 2 crazy FSR with Yorry and Kip! A lot of moves has been made for a crazy finish, Kip crossed the line in 10th, in front of Yorry and Cyk, as the 3 drivers were separated by less than a second! 18 drivers will see the checkered flag, as Loopingz was the only one to not see it by having to stop very early in the race.
In the championship, King join L.Rydh in the lead : they have the same exact amount of points, and the same exact results in 3 rounds : A win, a second place, and a third place... Pigeon stays in 3rd, meanwhile 4th is shared by Yorry and Kip with both 282 points. Proxima is 6th, in front of a shared 7th for again 2 FSR drivers as DLV and System both have 272 points. On the team side, nothing changed as the GUM Garage is still a strong leader, and FSR Team still a strong runner up in front of NFR Team, and Texas Drivers. Next round will be held the 28th april, having the second mod of the season with the Rubie's XM-5 Cup at Rockingham historic.
