Yeah that's true, but public racing will learn you basic race craft, which obviously helps a lot in leagues especially if it's a big league, better to make mistakes in a public server than a league server

@OP If you want quality racing the only way is to get S2 and join some FM servers or IHR servers, because at this moment these are the only servers with many people on, unless you are into hotlapping in which case join '[SR] Hotlap League'

Wheel would be better, but would cost quite a bit more, so depends on how serious a racer/drifter you are.
