I've seen some cars in the lower classes for the Nordschleife 24h race, which are still street legal. They have an roll cage, a new smaller steering wheel (which we already have in LFS),an fire extinguisher on board, bucket seats and different seat belts. They also take the rear seats out. But that are all changes done to the interieur.
So I think LFS should be exactly that way, keeping most of the inside, add two or three things and we have an perfectly realistic racing car for small class or cup racing which you can still use to drive home

Of course there wasn't anything new, but you HAD access... Now as you can see it's passworded which can only mean that the devs are now preparing this section
I do manual lift offs ever since I got my DFP 2 years ago, an my accelerator still works pretty well, so that's no problem for your pedals...
But it also depends on how you will treat them. If you'll kick you DFP pedals (which isn't necessary, as you will be just as fast as if you just lift your foot) then they will take damage, but so will your sequential shifter knob if you will treat it like a real sequential shift stick
