I'm in. According to LFS, race is on at 9PM GMT. So that is the time I'm aiming for. I got a big day ahead of me, so if I don't turn it, it probably means I'm still very busy.

But count me in for that defo, until further notice .

Quote from danowat :Geeky, nerdy, sad, whatever the want to call it, do you think it is?.

The reason I ask this is due to the following........

Firstly, I must say that I enjoy racing LFS, I don't race anywhere near as much as I used to, mainly due to the fact I was in a relationship that was plainly rubbish, and because of this I used to spend a bit of time on the computer.

Now, I split up with my ex in April, and started "living", which meant less time for LFS, I got a new girlfriend, the weather was good, I past my bike test, blah blah, etc etc, you get the idea.

Now as the weather is getting worse, the nights are drawing in, my girlfriend has a new job that means she has less spare time, and I find myself sometimes with an evening to fill, so I fill it with LFS.

Recently Kalle announced the UFR/XFR league, which I really fancy taking part in, I thought I had thursday free, but was informed yesterday that my girlfriend is off, and was coming over, so I was left with a quandry, do I tell her, or do I not take part.

The worse thing about it was, that I was SOOOOO embaressed to tell her that sometimes I virtually race with people on the internet in this game.

I told her, and she was fine, just means I will be on the PC for an hour while she is over, no real big deal, but I found it really hard to "admit" that I did such a thing as LFS illepall.

What would YOU have done, do YOU get embarressed if people find out you do race LFS?.

It's probably more aimed at the older LFS user

Would be interested to hear your thoughts.

Dan,

I don't feel embarrassed. I tell girls that, and they just nod. It's a hobby I like doing, and I get to spend time with great drivers, such as Void, Birder, Zyber, Jakg'z (laughs)

Besides, even though its a simulation, it does help your driving in reallife.

Lol, you silly billy, how did you manage that?

Although I got stabbed in the lip by a pencil, and it took 6 months for the scabbing and skin to heal up properly.

Well, I do Karate as an exercise, I train 3 times a week. I also have milk in cereal every day now (fibre diet) *for some reason I don't like milk when its alone, but love it with cereal*

Clearly I should be fine. But to save bother, I tend to stop the habit completely. To be honest, the more I think about it, the more my hands feel a bit weird lol. Only because I'm concentrating on them.

I also crack my wrists, *like they do in martial arts to intimidate*

I tend to see the doctor for a checkup, just to be on the safe side and to learn more about it. It's happened to my grandad, and because I can type max 90 wpm, and I love to play LFS, and drive, you can see why I made this topic .

Arthiritis
BigDave2967

Since I was 9/10 I had a habit of cracking my fingers. And at the beginning, it would hurt, but now as of today, no pain whatsoever, but I would still feel the effects of cracking my hands.

I'm now trying to get out of the habit of it and so far its a once in a while a day, compared to constanly a day *instead of full cracking of fingers, its just twidling with the thumb, or moving the shoulders slighty, to feel the bones moving, as I just recently did some research on how early you can get arthritis. But it wasnt really specific if cracking hands makes your conditions worse.

Could anyone tell me if arthritis can be more vulunerable if you keep cracking your fingers at all?

Also, just to get this out of my system, can drinking milk *or have it for cereal* help reduce the chances of having arthiritis?

Quote from BlakjeKaas :Don't get what's so 'schocking' about it...

For ITV, it's a rare occurence of hearing drivers or guests on ITV swear live.

The only two folk I have witnessed swearing on ITV was when Martin Brundle interviewed them.

Ozzy Osborne and Kimi saying "shit" on T.V

Quote from tristancliffe :I've seen lots of people, both in real life and in LFS who jab at the throttle wildly, upsetting the car, and causing no end of stability and traction problems.

When I point out to them that they should be smoother on the throttle (and indeed all the controls) they just tell me they are copying Senna. What they forget is that Senna is one of the all time greatest drivers, and they are numpties in a car. Unless, and I mean UNLESS, you are a driving God it's going to be a far easier, quicker and more professional looking drive being as smooth as possible.

Edit: Do not do the classic "I've got to be totally smooth" thing with this advice, and then forget to push the car and yourself. Remain smooth, but to be quick you need to be as smooth as possible whilst at the limit. Any granny can be smooth, but smoothness in itself isn't necessarily quick.

I agree. I did Knockhill a few weeks ago, where I was undergoing an Driving Experience on driving the SEAT, and a Formula Single Seater. When I was in the SEAT, the first lap, with the instructor felt really smooth around the corners, compared to being rough, on controls and throttles/braking.

During the 2nd lap of the first corner, I was a bit rough, by pushing too hard, and the punishment was running wide on the corner, and screeching the tyres a little. Just showed myself a clear example of smooth driving compared to roughness, by making my own mistake in that corner by changing style of driving.

Ok, this was supposed to be a Public apology post, not a hijacking thread, and now MG are slowly creeping into the topic.

Could a mod either delete the posts that are not neccesary for this topic, or close the topic itself please?

Thanks

Quote from Memph1s :Thanks Michael for Amazing Races and Fight.
Michael will be the best for ever. :laola:

And The F1 got again an unworthy World Champion!!!!
ALONSO THIS GODDAMMED LUCKER!!!!
:noob:

Blame Shumacher for parking in Monaco then . Had he not done that, he probably would have a better chance for the title.

Alonso deserves the title after a controvisy of rules that cut Renault back on pace.

Well done Alonso!

Also to add, fantastic drive for Sato, only 6th fastest on the track with the fastest lap in a Super Auguri. I hope he gets a better drive for next year.
