I may be biased, seeing as I run the citydriving servers, but if you took the time to read our webpage, and presumably, the redline racing one too, you will find the rules very easily, and following them really isnt that hard.
At the end of the day, as someone has already mentioned, by connecting to a server you agree to their terms and conditions, however, we (citydriving) dont abuse this, and give everyone plenty of chance to check out the rules page, and give them helpful advice when needed, and im sure redline do too; ive personally never had any trouble with them.
However, saying that, you was banned from our servers for serious things, most of which would not be allowed in any LFS server.
Hope you return after your ban, and it doesnt ruin your view on us,
Brad
EDIT: To your overall point about no banning.. -1. There are situations when players are trying to race cleanly, but a rammer is ruining it for them. There needs to be a way of removing these players from the server, either via admin banning, or vote banning, depending on the server preferences.
At the start of the race I usually hold back a bit, especially on SO, where ive been racing alot lately, the start of the race is mayhem, crashes, flips that u gotta try and avoid when they happen right infront of you
I usually try and pace myself throughout the race, and save the tyres for the last push before end of the race, but under pressure I usually try and drive too fast, and ruin my tyres anyway
hmm, one of our servers is stuck on "A player is disconnecting", and it is only one person there (username: TIM05) , so no admins can go in to do a /reinit
Not sure whats happenening, hopefully once I can get intouch with our host he can do a remote restart of the server.
If anyone has any clue what causes this to happen, or want to see for yourself, the server name is:
Stealing people? :0 I didnt know we had the power of brainwaving people to enter our servers
Look, they choose our servers because they want to, we have a friendly community coupled with good management.
If you want to race and dont like it, fine, it wont affect you, but we arnt exactly "stealing" people, this is a DRIVING simulator not specifically a racing one.
Get over it, we contribute to a CNR community, so let us do it without negative comments for no reason, when you havent even seen the hard work we put in, like website and forums to help anyone with user reports, plus the 15+ admins we have.
From what I understand the old domain of liveforspeed.net now just has a redirect link to the new domain, lfs.net. Therefore, all files are held on the lfs.net web server, and so any links going to the old liveforspeed.net wont load because there arnt any files there.
That could have been explained better, but something like that
Hi, nothing too serious, just a few links that are still going to liveforspeed.net
On the End-User licence agreement, the links of "your status" and "account details" still go to liveforspeed.net instead of lfs.net so they aint loading.
Thanks Grunt. Just a note to you all, the domain is not yet setup, but that will be our new home, probably accessable later tonight or tomorrow morning.
To do it, just go Options>View>click the 'Custom' button at the top of the screen>Then just change the X,Y,Z offset sliders. Its obviously better if adjusted when on track, in a car, rather than the options menu on the 1st screen of LFS, cos then you can see where the camera is while your adjusting the sliders.
Hi all, weve just finished making our new TC promo video. It was created by [TC]>Whip, starring a large number of the team. Thanks to everyone who was involved.
Please take a look and give any feedback. I will also post links to our old video.
