hhhmm, Ive added the line in the 'hosts' file as victor said, but I still cant connect to the master server... Sometimes when i play, after a while I cant connect to the master server anyway, like if I refresh the host page a few times, I cant connect at all, but I suppose thats something to do with NTL

Ive restarted my PC, but still no joy. Ill wait a few hours anyway, to hopefully let it fix itself, lol

Hi, I just wondered if anyone knows of a server name command, so that you can change the server name while ingame, while obviously in the server with the admin password?

Because a server I run is hosted privately and remotely by my friend, but he is currently away on holiday, and I want to change the server name, does anyone have any advice?

hi, well a specialised malware removing site helped me remove the many viruses i had anyway, and since then my comps been fine, HD is still about 65, but its ok, not crashing anymore... thanks for all your help

i know, and the thing is, i have insurance on my comp, but if i modify it, then i can wave goodbye to that. I might try and phone philips and see what they can do, but after all, if its not broken i suppose there is nothing i can do, and also, i had an engineer round last month who said it WERNT overheating :/, i was out at the time, so i couldnt ask him why it was really hot then, if it wernt ovrheating.... aaahhh, some engineers, they dont know they were born illepall

Lastly, cooling, my procesor gets temps of about 70c, and HD around the same. Looking at the first set of pics i posted it will be hard to install new fans, becase the front of my comp has no room for a air intake, and the side is protected by a metal cover.... any ideas anyone?

oh, ok thanks for all your help, but also, looking at the first set of pics, how coul i install a hardrive fan if i needed to? because there isnt any space within my case..?

I cleaned by heatsink and fans with compressed air last week to try and keep the computer cool, and yes the HardDrive feels very hot, almost burns my fingers a little to touch sometimes, usually after playing LFS

Hi, when im playing LFS my CPU usage is a consistent 99-100% al the time, surely this cannot be normal. My PC specs are listed below.

Intel Pentium 4 550J 3400MHz
1024MB RAM
Maxtor 300GB HD
ATI Radeon X600 256MB

Now, also my hard drive gets very hot, and basically sometimes the computer just shuts itself down, the PC is stock, no mods. I am also thinking about getting a new graphics card over christmas, which one would you recommend for LFS? With a more powerful graphics card i will probably need to upgrade my cooling, but can you give me some advice on how i can do this, ive attached some pics of my PC, it will be difficult because of a lack of spare space within the case.

It isnt a case of "it wasnt him", it is his reponsibility to protect his account, so, in the end, it falls to him.
If he changes his password, and we get a certification that his brother will not be on his account again, then, yes i will be glad to unban him

Hi, I have searched the forum, but nothing here answers this question. I have admin rights on a server, however i am NOT the owner, therefore i do not have access to the ban file. I basically run the server now, the owner is not involved in it; Is there anyway i can gain access of the ban file, by the owner sending me a copy? Will it continue to update when the other admins and I add and delete bans from there?

I need this because i have setup a website to hold the ban details, so that users know reasons and length of their ban, and it will be alot more accurate and faster to use the info from the ban list...

please can anyone help me? It would be MUCH appreciated if anyone has any ideas?

Well at least hammond is ok now, and from what i hear Top Gear is coming, and staying back on air. It also seems hamster wants to get back on TV to stop Top Gear ending (Good boy hammond), because the crazy environmentalists are having a fit over Top Gears "bad safety record"...... i dont think so, go back to tree hugging please.....
