Quote from deggis :True, even I have low-end computer but I don't understand why not include hi-res textures. Then you could simply choose between "normal" and "high" quality graphics settings. One reason could be that they want to keep the download file size small, which would be pretty ridiculous excuse since the 56 kbps modem era is over...

You might as well consider its [texturing time]x2

Yet another "Im banned thread!"

By the looks of it you were lagging bad, that would explain your 3 disconnects. Its also possible that you wrecked someone else without even knowing and thats why they banned you.

Anyway, as in previous posts, its their server and they can do whatever they want with it. Just find another combo, there are much better than AS3/GTR

I agree 100% with the two above posts. At first I thought I was missing how it worked, because why in hell would you want to turn your head if the screen is right in front of you??

Maybe with VR googles, until now its a waste of money.

This being about fun, Im sure Eric will smoothen the surface or whatever is needed to keep the game at least as good as it is now.

Yeah was a good race. I knew staying trouble free would pay off so I let some people pass to avoid T1 wreckfest, which of course happened.

Then everyone was spinning in front or going wide, so I never needed to pass anyone on track. Apart from that the guy that was in 2nd was on a 2-stopper while I was in one, so that translated in a good gap

The biggest problem was that when I pitted in lap 15 my crew only changed front left and in lap 18 or so I made a stupid mistake and got like 20% of damage in left shocks. Car became really really delicate to drive after that, but gap was big enough to allow me to drive slower than usual, at the end 2nd was like 15 secs behind.

Good race!!

If it does it work without the USB plugged in, you might want to disable it when playing LFS. You wont need it when driving anyway.

I dont really see it that difficult to have a proper 24 hour race when we get prototypes in S2 final, as long as we have teams with people covering different timezones.

The 24 hours of Aston.

4 classes (LM1, LM2, GT1, GT2) & 30 teams.

Live on LfsTV...coming soon.

...we all can dream, can we?

That doesnt make much sense. If you cant unlock S2 its pretty hard to load any track.

Quote from Tweaker :IAnd you can link to stats, hotlaps, and all that stuff. If it lost a web presence, then there really would be no point in having LFSW.

.NET and Java (and I bet every modern language) have web services, which basically mean whatever info you can get in a web site can be accessed from a windows app

Sorry but for me, if the loading/rendering time of a web page is noticeable, that can mean two things:

- Its overloaded
- Its bad designed.

Obviously in the case of LFSW the site has TONS of info, first time I saw it I was shocked you could have that in a browser, but as someone already pointed out, its more a windows app playing web site

That said, LFSW its an awesome piece of work from Victor.

Scawen, if you more info to know whats going on I'd be more than happy to help. Maybe we could be provided with some kind of form to know exactly what info do you need - system specs, GPU, whatever.

I'd go for a windows desktop app: it would still have all of the current LFSW features but much faster.

Only drawback I can think of is that you would need to install it in every computer you want to use it, but actually there arent many times I check the WR@AS7R from the office...

These kind of disconnections have happened to me as well. Luckily, never in league races, but I can imagine the frustration.

Same as the guys above, my ping and everything is ok. Disconnections only happened a couple times but its strange.

I believe there are better ways of doing things than JScript. But if it needs to be used, so be it...option 3.

LOL how true. You forgot Thunderbird, Pegasus and eDonkey.

Why not? Sure this is unneeded, but you have to type in a verification code and THEN wait like 30 seconds for the download to start.

You want to ask for it in the improvements section because that is not a test patch bug.

I'm all up for a rock radio pack. Some suggestions:

Pearl Jam - Rearview mirror
Mudhoney - Let it slide

Just to keep the 'theme' hehe
