The Series
Up for something completely new and unique to LFS league racing? Look no further. The I-SCAR series is an international stock car series that aims to emulate stock car league racing as best as possible in Live for Speed. While most series that have a similar goal run mostly on ovals, I-SCAR seeks to bring the best of both worlds: oval and circuit racing united together in one premier series. But that's not all, I-SCAR will also feature a fully modded stock car. (Created by forum moderator Bob Smith). This monster emulates a real life stock car as best as possible and boy is this car a beast to drive. Not only will it feature a new challenge to Live for Speed racers, but through this mod and league we hope to create a fun, challenging and competitive environment where the community can get the best of stock car racing, oval and circuit.
Drafting at close to 200 miles per hour? Beating and banging down in bumpy circuits like Aston and South City? 2-wide, 3-wide, and perhaps 4-wide racing?
A 3400 pound, 900 horsepower monster with a top speed of 215 miles per hour and realistic V8 engine roar? What's not to love? At I-SCAR we hope we can give the community a racing experience they will never forget.

Most, if not all, people either have to work or go to school, so during the week does not work. In fact, possibly for some, qualifying on friday may not work either.
I understand. There is a week break inbetween this race and the next, so it is possible to push this race back a week to the 12th of September. However, I won't do that unless we get at least 1/3+ of the signups asking to do the same. If there's a majority that wants to move it back, we just might do that. So, anybody else need that saturday off?
It has been determined that this was a racing incident. Because of the two safety car periods in a row, racer's tires got very cold, which made negotiating T1 difficult. Dennis Lind will be given a warning for future road course races about restart late braking.
Protest is denied.
Lol, and what stops you from pitting and grabbing something different.
Yes, which is why fixed setups will not be used. Part of your job in racing is to find that edge over someone else, not follow in line. Fixed setups will not be mandated. If you guys want to do it voluntarily, by all means.
So how would I make sure that you are going to use the correct setup? This kind of debate has already happened in the LFS community, and it can not work until the correct checks have been put into place on the dedi server for it to be able to check your setup. Currently, there is no way to check setups, so like I said, this isn't possible at this time, so don't worry about it.
Don't think that's really necessary, kinda takes away from the spectacle of the league if we do that. And, there's no real way to check that unless I make you run a program on each of your computers to check your setup. So, I'd say no.
Event: Kyoto 250
Track: Kyoto Oval (KY1)

Race: Saturday, September 5th, 2009 18:00 UTC, 139 laps + 1 pace lap
Meant to respond back. Tried this, ran it for a while, and noticed that you had to type !top XRT to find the right times that people were running. Removing that custom car pulled everything back to the !top command, so it doesn't matter what the tcd file is set to.
In that screenshot, you'll see that the application hasn't made a complete connection to your LFS. Some people have said that you need to go to the multiplayer list, then exit LFS, then start it again for it to start working. Try that, then report back here.
I was given no indication that you made an attempt, or you did so during the brief time that an admin was missing. Do you have proof by way of mpr for your time?
Edit: Looking at the chat history, yeah, you showed up during the brief 15min that an admin was not in server, but, LFSW reported your time as 1:51.09, and then you disconnected, so I will accept that time.
I'm sad to see only 9 people have decided to try and qualify. However, after your qualification session, if you would like to discuss the session the times, do so here.
Poor paulct, shows up on time for the first session of qual today and nobody, even an admin, is there. So, I jumped in to record his one flying lap of qual for that first session, and it came out to be 1:20.46, pretty respectable. For the second qualifying session, I'll assume that I'll have to be there, so the server is passworded, but since I don't have the list of participants, I have to put the password here: "nolizard" (without the quotes of course ). Hopefully we'll see more than just 1 driver at a qual session.
