Actually, i would say racing is kinda a contact sport(depends on the class of course. In real life, bumping into each other is kinda much more reliable than within lfs where we have connection lag.
The difference in lfs is between taking risky chances and be calm and wait for the right moment. This is difficult for everyone i believe, as it's in our nature to pass slower cars I must admit that i like taking chances sometimes, and if i fail, i usually say sorry quite quickly. If we don't take any chances, we'll never learn how to overtake in a proper way. All this depends on where you are in the race of course. I allways give it a chance if i'm fighting for the lead
I guess this is something you and me learn afterwards, i'm not crashing and bumping around that much as when i started with lfs at least(i hope)
If it's a beast people are looking for here, why not make a KZ2(ICC)?
125cc, 6 gears transmission with 0-100 km/h on around 2.7 seconds
This year it was a global change regarding engines as 100cc was replaced with 125cc engines. KF1 replaced FA, KF2 ICA and so on...
These engines are also very powerfull, laptimes are around 1 sec faster on every track driven in Italy this year compared to last year.
I would guess that rotax is some secs behind this again.
Also, as someone here mentioned, if karts would be implemented to LFS somewhere in the future, i would love to see the (old) 100cc engines.
20000+ rpm, choking and carburator adjustings as the humidity and so on changes while racing is quite entertaining!
All this do require good karting tracks though, i would think that a kart even on fe club woud be quite boring.
Now, this is most likely a long time job, as with todays physics engine it's not possible to get the physics on a kart right(?). Wouldn't see it coming in s2
Dan, this sounds quite weird to me
Lag is a problem in this game and will allways be. I also think 80% of the crashes last night was caused of it.
What about checking the lag of each player before the races? Most of us comes to the server around 15 mins before the race, which should be enough time to check it.
If i have too much lag, i wouldn't mind dropping out of the race really. I've had lots of incidents with other people who lags before, and know how it feels, specially in a league race.
Quitting because of lag is quite a stupid reason imo, also thinking about the leagues future
Once again from Germany, we welcome S. Weingran aka fapex! After a nice and succesful Masters of Endurance race, and after knowing Stephan for an extended period of time, he finally decided to join us at 1ST » Racing.
Welcome to our team, we hope you'll enjoy your stay with us
From Germany we welcome M. Lehnert, alias Bratwurst. This youngster who only recently switched from mouse to wheel controls has shown his capacity in the last EAS season where he finished in 11th position in the final standings. this year he hopes to be even higher up the ranks and aims for a place in the EPS next season.
Secondly we welcome T. Vedenoja, alias Teaz-R from Finland! The 33 year old real-life band member (bassist) and "masterskinner" is a long time friend of the team. Of course we know him from our 2006 skin pack, but Vedenoja is also a very fast and active racer. Currently he's striding for the first place in the STCC titanium license race!
We're looking forward to a great time with our two new members and wish them a warm welcome and a pleasant stay
Sad Hyperactive though i had a race without any problems for the first time in a LONG time. Filur was close the first laps, but also he got some pressure afterwards on his rear and i could slowly increase the lead
Thanks for the race, grats to Exodus winning in the LX6!
Grats bag, awsome drive
I was confident with my qual, but the race broght a lot of probems as usual. Three pedal failures (freakin momoO) and crap driving as well brought me luckily to 5th

On the LFS Scene since February 2005. We are competing in MoE, LXCC, coming season of OLFSL and more..
I also think skid sounds still are too low. Drove a stint with FZR around Aston Grand Prix today and it's very difficult wether ur racing on the limit ot not
Anyway, i think the sounds are an improvement, keep going!
