I downloaded it for the first time aswell. Quite an enlightening and refreshing experience to be honest. The cars handle like you would expect a car with 400bhp and hardly any downforce (understeer is unbelievable). I learnt the hard way in finding out that there is a grippy racing line which seems to take an unusual pattern Only real reason I haven't spent more time on it is that the cars all ring like a school classroom fire bell at high revs. It Must be something to do with my soundcard.
Got my brand new polo shirt with colour logo. I love it!! The embroidered logo is really well made and just the right size, so you don't look like a walking billboard. I've worn it for three days now, gonna need to wash it soon. Really has surpassed all my expectations.
Thanks for all your suggestions, especially DEVIL 007 for pointing out that the graphics card is the wrong slot and for giving me an alternative better spec system.
Although I think I will keep an eye out on ebay for a couple of weeks, and try and get a good price comparison for the kind of system I want, before I commit to the stress of building a pc from scratch.
I'm not really literate with all the hardware speak but this is what I've concocted. Is there anything I've missed out or any components that should be swapped?
I think the rule states that there will be a standardised Microsoft ECU in all cars. Do you think that some form of TC will be integrated into this? Otherwise I'm ecstatic about this prospect, just hope Bernie or Mosely doesn't tamper with it.
The first time I ever played the LFS demo online at Blackwood, was just exiting the pits when I got ploughed into, and my car managed to get stuck on the fence. Epitomises the demo servers though.
Eventful race without too much overtaking that we have come to expect from the Moto GP.
Sete Gibernau replacement Troy Bayliss, did a sterling job to bring the bike home in first, and led for the whole race.
Even more shocking was to witness The Doctor make a mistake on his own accord, when he ran out of tyre. A mistake that even Rossi couldn't salvage anything from, finishing in 13th.
This mistake argubly cost Rossi the title, as Hayden took away his title crown with a 5 points lead in the riders championship.
My polo mk2 only cost me £75, it runs faultlessly, years MOT, 4 months tax, cd player and speakers. Couldn't ask for more for a first car on a shoe-string budget.
Completely agree, for me the car feels as though its on rails. As long as you take a minimal amount of what you have learnt in LFS , and apply it to the BF1, it really is almost impossible to spin. I think people must be driving the BF1 without actually recognising that LFS's physics still apply.
There are some very avid followers of what is the pinnacle of motorsport on this forum. But in any thread to do with Formula 1, for every poster that likes F1, there is another that thinks it is boring and BTCC is much better. illepall
So will driving the BF1 for some LFSers generate a new found respect for F1 drivers and the sport, or is it only the F1 fans that truly enjoy LFS's new open-wheeler?
