without trying to sound rude - are you shifting correctly ( at the correct revs)? A lot of time/speed is easily lost while changing gear maybe that is ur prob.
Also if you attach an spr here we can have a look at what is wrong
and also with the ai, if you go anywhere near them the jump on the brakes and back off like 200m behind you....not much of a good pass if all you need to do is tap them
I get you. Sounds good - but probably wouldn't be poplar as a circuit if it was made. However, the change in conditions may make it a good endurance track and make saloon/ss cars more evenly paced overall.
nice idea, but then again i would prefere a rain simulation in S3 more
Is there, and should there, be a way of keeping the tyre skid marks?
On most AU layouts and drifting layouts it would be great to be able to keep the marks even after you have finished (they always dissappear when you go back on:really
ie is there any way of deleting the 'auto delete tyre marks' thing?
Make sure you hav downloaded the game from www.lfs.net this will make your LFS account. Remember it as you will need it to unlock S1 and S2 if you decide to buy them later on. Use those account details to log on here too. Help:
To start, just open the game. most of it is self explainitory although it is useful to change some of the controls in 'SETTINGS' before you start.
Do all of your available 'TRAINING' lessons. You wont hav many because you will be playing the Demo version, although it will help you learn controls and the game play.
Don't touch anything in the Docs or Data folders yet! if you do you might muck up the game and hav to create a new LFS.exe leave them alone.
Try racing some AI in 'SINGLE PLAYER' to get a feeling for the racing, remember- this isn't a GAME as such, it's a simulator. Don't expect to be any good, you're new and you WILL be terrible don't worry though, you will pick it up quick.
if you want skins (car designs) or setups for the cars ( remember only 2 cars will be available to you in demo) just tell me and ill leave some here.
I can't remember, but i order to get onto the main servers you will need to by S2 £24, but that's your choice.
If you go onto 'MULTIPLAYER' i would recommend any CTRA host although dont go onto RAce 2 or Race 3 as you need a license (eaned on Race 1 by getting points). In multiplayer, spend some time watching the races and press 'v' to change the view and tab for a different car. Sitting inside the lead car is good as you can learn the circuit and how to drive it
When online - try to keep out of trouble. As a noob you Will get in the way. Move out of the wave under a Blue flag- it means the leader is trying to overtake. BE polite - remember people can report you and you could be banned.
When on a CTRA server, press '$password' to create your CTRA account. This is seperate from the LFS account you made earlier. To see this account go to www.raceauthority.com and click on MyCTRA. Log in. When you complete races in CTRA servers you will earn points. This is where they go, and if you get enough you progress to different classes. At silver, you earn the license to go onto CTRA Race 2
At the end of the day, if you dont like racing you wont enjoy the game although frustration is enevitable when learning controls and tracks.
Need anything? Hi-res textures? Skins? Log in and reply to this post and ill leave it for you.
Also, there is ALOT to learn so dont worry. Everyone who plays the game had to learn it like you at some point.
nope copying doesn't work - i just tries it.
i don't know why it's suddenly playing up - everything has been like normal and i turn it on now and it won't work. Jesus flippin' christ.
For some reason my LFS.exe won't start properly. I havent altered anything in the files lately and have been running it as normal - but now when i start it up i just get a black screen without the LFS logo, the toolbar is still showing and my cursor disappears....? I haven't done anything different - it just doesn't seem to want to open.
Has anyone else had this problem - i would be grateful for a solution asap!
(As a last resort i will make a new LFS.exe but that takes me ages to do the settings again - i'd rather find a solution to my current problem first)
