Ah crap. Didn't really think about that. Easiest solution would be for me to change the button size. I sized the buttons to fit 32ish player names on the screen. Will sort this asap.
*reorder command This new command allows you to request MM Grid Order to sort the grid for the next race prior to a restart to enable you to then use the *custom 1 command to customize the new reversed race order.
Re-send of race order after restart countdown to slot late-joiners into their correct grid positions.
Just a quick update to let you know that I have uploaded an updated v0.0.1001 which fixes some bugs and allows the moving of players in the in-game custom list by pressing SHIFT+Left mouse to move up and SHIFT+Right mouse to move down.
My Grid Order Mod allows server, league and race admins to set certain grid order rules. Please note that this is a very early Alpha Release and should not be treated as stable/reliable. You should have some basic knowledge of InSim and Server Admin before trying this add-on. If you have any questions please ask and please let me know if you have tested this and what the results were. Thank you!
The following modes are currently supported:
LAST RACE Keep track of the grid order from the previous race. /spectate and disconnects do not interfere with the gridorder as long as the player re-connects before the next race starts
REVERSE X
Reverse the top x grid positions from the previous race result.
CUSTOM
Allow an admin to specify a custom grid order for the next race via an in-game screen
Still to be added are some more Grid Order modes including grid order based on lap times and pbs. The handling of DNFs, disconnects and /pit /spectate will be added shortly.
That's correct. You can check the intake restrictions/balast players have on board and /spectate them if they are incorrect, but there is no way of changing the settings, certainly not from the server side.
It's on my to-do list to create a small add-on to allow admins to do this - unless someone else has already done it of course (I think Becky has something similar but not sure if it's for the public?)
I am not sure what you are trying to do, but I doubt the data is very reliable. If you get a new packet every 100ms, combined with your latency to the server (if remote), the fact that you can not read all car packets simultaniously and the latency from the client to the server - I think it's rather inaccurate as to the actual current cars positions by the time you get to do anything with the data.
Firstly, a single rating isn't going to mark you as a wrecker.
With regards to people spamming other driver's ratings, this is unlikely to happen as you can only rate each driver once, and you can only rate 1 player after every race. The idea being you rate the player that you felt had the most influence on your race. Good or bad.
I have released a very early Alpha version of the add-on. Feel free to give it a try and let me know what you think. Any feedback is appreciated. You can download it at http://pos.lfs.marcomark.net

Reason : Corrcted CTRA statement - the reporting issue was my mistake
I did a little bit of working with Com ports a few years ago but honestly wouldn't be able to tell you how to go about it now I'm afraid. Google search should reveal some good examples though surely?
Another quick question ... does each driver have to drive the 3 car/track combos or is it that you have to decide within the "team" who drives which car?
Hyperactive: That is something I also considered and could still be implemented. I could calculate a users reputation by vote+voter's rating rather than just the straight rating. This would also keep it dynamic and update as individual users' rating changes. This might actually be an easier way of dealing with "bad voters" rather than running server rules to filter them out. I will certainly look into this as an option.
I think one vote/rating is enough as any more would imo make it too complicated/confusing for users.
For those that have had a look at the system on my server I am sure you have noticed that I tried to make it subtle so it isn't annoying but obvious enough to get it noticed.
Hollywood: I have now added an option to either use a "Global" rating that is shared between all participating servers, or the server admin can choose to keep ratings for their own server only.
Dajmin: Apologies if the idea was previously suggested and thank you for your positive comments.
Micha: That is a very valid point, however if "toublemakers" started doing this I think their "Rating/Reputation" would soon go down-hill when they enter serious raceing servers. Because every user can only rate each other one I think this would not be such a big issue.
Hollywood: I can totally see where you are coming from and that is in no way what I am trying to achieve! It is purely another way of offering serious race servers to elimiate trouble makers. It's not like this will be used on every server.

I wanted to create a system like this to help improve the level of racing on public race servers. I realise that Wreckers Barricade already does this to some extend and this is not to compete with WB or take away their system - it's just another added level of protection. The main problem with Replay based systems is that someone needs to watch replay, and it's that person's sole opinion that decides if the accused should be marked as a trouble maker or not.
