yes thats a good example, the prodigy's earlier work is excellent music for racing voodoo people or diesel power.
The stuff im uploading just now is very different to what i played on yesterdays show...
have a look

Yer am uploading some tunes now - will post a playlist shortly- let me know what you think of my...ummm driving tunes -
By the way, the tunes in the background during my commentary weren't ever meant for listening to in full - it was just to fill the gaps when i had to go to the loo or take a breather etc
thats what im working on - one reasonably large playlist - im uploading some of my tracks as we speak..
few more announcements - 32k only! all files will be reconverted to this filesize... this is to ensure this it doesnt even come close to affecting our OLFSLtv and OLFSLlive1 and 2 servers..
This is a side project run on an as-is basis...there is no guarantee this will last...
I agree but the fact that this is something that relys on bandwidth we have left, I would hope that our members get first shout if you know what i mean, but by all means there will be no limiting of who can listen...!
P.s. about the radio thing - there will be no dj's - i just thought it might be a nice idea for during the races
right, well since alot of you listen to streams during races.... I 've thought of an idea...
How would you lot like to have your own racing jukebox...
I think with our new servers we can spare enough room to store some tracks on the server... and stream them in a playlist styleeeee, and if you want to add your own tunes that get you pumped up while racing then send them on up!
The server won't be streaming 24/7 but just at weekends (i think) and at between 32k and 64k depending on our bandwidth situation
Basic conditions before this is finalised...
You MUST own the copy of the song you are sending, i.e. purchased legally, I will not be checking this as it is not my responsibility, but you know the script nowaday's, and OLFSL doesn't not need nor want the attention of RIAA or any other bigwigs for somehow sharing dodgy mp3's... *sighs*
NSV is Nullsoft Streaming Video - it was in development by Nullsoft ( the ppl behind Winamp ) and was still in a beta stage when AOL bought over Nullsoft and killed any further program would ever make.
NSV allow's you to use existing shoutcast servers and through magic jiggery-pokery, send not only audio but video over the stream...
Thank you all for your kind words - the way i see it you guys put a hell of a lot of effort and take the league very seriously - so I think we should reflect that !
Congratulations to all that finished in pool 10 and commiserations to all those who didnt. What an exciting race..
P.s. to those having difficulties watching - please bear with us - this is a temporary server until we can get our official ones online tonight... you are all hammering the server so thank you all who watched
There will be no audio-only commentary this weekend, we are going to be broadcasting 5 races live on OLFSLtv.
There is a small problem though, because our proper servers are going up sometime today/this evening, until they are alive we will be using my personal shoutcast stream (supposed to be 64kbps but i've been feeding it 200k+ for the past week lol)
Fiendi is working on a link that you can click to watch the stream as we speak... so please make sure you all have the latest version of winamp if you want to watch...
Theres currently a video running of the gridlist for the 5 live races on the stream...
Yes but it is also free from that "Emusic" garbaged with the version you linked... - so could anyone downloading winamp - please use the link i posted earlier thanks
P.s. A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO WATCHED THE TEST STREAM! It's a HUGE thumbs up, and if i can get it sorted then i'll be streaming live races this weekend :-)
Right, I've got everything all setup, the capture card has arrived and is installed in the machine and I want to get the codec settings all done and dusted.
Tonight (Thursday 20th July) I will be streaming some test footage live from the *Original LFS League (3) server, so if you want to be seen, then pop onto the server... But thats not why im posting
I need 3-5 volunteers to watch the stream and report back on any problems that they have with it, you will need to be on msn and you will need to be able to speak english, because i don't speak any other languages...
your max download is 256kb/s and my max uplaod is 256kb/s so you can expect the stream to be running at about 220kb/s :-) so you CAN watch it live
And sorry for the rather dumb question but it had to be asked... the one main point of doing the video stream the way i am is that it costs next to nothing to set up and uses the software that you all either already have installed or that can easily be installed :-)
well everythings fitting into place, I should have the Stream PC arriving and setup by next week and ready for a good old testing,...
