Also, keeping tyre marks from day to day would probably end up in monster lag if it had to draw half a million skid marks at each corner...

As the title says, We could use some sort of Developer Blog to keep us S2 buyers upto speed as to when we can expect updates to this Paid for Alpha test software..

I know there is only 3 Developers but since Patch z10 and the imminent
release of the Scirocco back in December, There has been no other real info for over 4 months...

Im not bothered about the long waits between releases, Just its nice to know if there is progress being made or if they are taking an extended holiday...

People put faith and alot of money in the developers to deliver a product that hasnt had any major changes since S2 was released, Which was back in 2005.... 2 cars and tweaks isnt really progress...

Do a system restore to a few days ago to before when the problem appeared....

I caught a virus from some Pikey ads on a site a few days ago and made my pc feel like a pentium 200mhz even in windows..

A system restore fixed it straight away...

I think he means that XP wont install from inside Vista. The Xp installer wont run or will give an error about a newer version of windows being installed and quit.. It will work if u boot from the XP disk tho...

Im working thru Black & White 2 and x3 Reunion when not in LFS.
Had them both for years but on the 7th attempt ive finally managed to stick with them for more than an 30 mins each...

Also, RBR has made a comeback on my Xbox360 since i found the disk again.

Well since u said u knocked over ur pc id say the hard drive was damaged...

Have you ran Chkdsk yet? A few weeks ago my pc started to bsod or take ages to boot, After chkdsk ran and found a load of damaged sectors the pc restarted was fixed....

Just type chkdsk at a command prompt to check or

chkdsk /F to check and fix

As with all fixing of hard drives, theres a slight risk that the repair will remove important files and make windows unbootable if they are stored in damaged sectors, Its only a tiny chance but thought id warn anyways...

Also, if you cant find your windows disk you can download a copy from microsoft or MSDN website somewhere...

How do you select the demo or S1 server lists t show up?

There used t be an option before u selected the server list but now its gone since patch X

Where has the option been moved to?...

Did u go online to check? LFS will limit the FPS to 100 by default..

Try having an offline race with 10-15 AI to test...

What resolution do you play LFS at btw? Try setting the resolution to max in LFS then just use a low AA setting...

It still sounds like a setting needs changed rather than hardware problems...

hmm.... Try running the game with no AA or AF and see if its still the same..

Also, try updating the graphics drivers and directx..

We both have directX 9c but most of my files are from 07-08, yours are from 2004...

It might be that ur CPU is causing problems as LFS is quite CPU intensive. LFS doesnt use multi-core CPUs yet
so its like its running on a P4 2.8

Whats your graphics setting at? For the likes of AA and AF? These options can be set in the Nvidia control panel outside the game too...

I get around 25-30 fps at race start with a full grid and 50-65 fps a few seconds after start with a P4 3.4HT and 1GB ram
and old 7600 GS 256MB With 8xAA and 16xAF...


Do you have the same problem with slowdown in other games too?...

U copy it to the your \data\engine folder in your lfs folder then ingame bring up the shift-A menu.

Click on the "L" next to the dump valve\Bov slider n click on the file.
