I went once on a redline server, and just because i havent raced the combo for a year, and had to learn the limits i was stated to be a noob and that i cannot handle the car. And this only cause i was a sec slower(after 4laps or so), and didn't let him go as he was behind me. I mean, why do i race if not for positions? Not for fun, i mean not on that server..
Yeah, but every taste is different... I really think that you can make the posters yourself from a good screenshot or render, and go to a copyshop with it...
Btw, the postcards look great, and i have ordered 3 shirts
Hi all
I couldn't post it in test patch section, so i made up a thread here.
I noticed, that with the underpowered front wheeler UF1 it is pretty easy
cometo make "valid false starts". The car just accelerates so slow, that it is possible to estimate the green light, and accelerate way before the others off the spot. If you misjudge the situation, you can easily step a bit on the brake to wait a bit more, the advantage is still there.
I think it would be good to set the false start detection distance seperately for each car.
I tried it a few times, mostly it worked out. I wonder what the community can tell/thinks about it. I'm sure if it's an issue, it should be fixed BEFORE the patch, or otherwise the racers will surely misuse it, cause an advantage is an advantage
Too sad, thanks anyway..
I have worked with PIC's already, and could code the prg also,
but currently i have no idea where to start. I have to read myself into it, but
it would have been easier to start from a certain point
Hi
I want to ask where you have the USB hardware from,
or if you have built it where can a plan be found?
After exams i would also like to start developing one...
Have you assigned them correct in Options/controls?
Axis seperated/combined button correctly checked?
What doesn't work anyway, some more info would be nice
And enable axis bar display, then you can see what input lfs gets
from your controller
Well, what are you waiting for then???
Spread the news in the US, and you will have plenty of people..
I can't imagine that noone outside of Europe is interested to play a sim...
If you cant create a server, just change the track on one which allows it, unless the server isn't really open for it.
And if you need more players, why don't you organize events for it?
Post a time and track in the forum, and wait who will join.
I have just noticed, that the wheel makes ugly metally "clacks" when it reaches the full steering degree. I dismounted it, and the rubber "shock absorber" just fall apart, it's became porous over the years.
Does anyone knows if there is a way to order such parts, or do i have to buy some rubber thingie, and cut it in form myself????
I'm really confused by now...
Drove a complete race simulation without problems(except for a wear out button that i use for manual clutch, which won't register all of my instructions, but i'll replace that later), and today the league race went also very well. Maybe i had a semi-lucky day (race was a disaster, but not cause the wheel), or some magic elves visited my Momo yesterday. Anyway, thanks for the wiring shemata, if it re-appears, i will at least know how to fix it.
Dave: definiately no problem with the pot mechanics, that was the first i checked.
Edit: Wiggeling didn't show any errors/peaks/movement, so i'm really perplexed...
It's not a physical problem, and it's funny that it happens only so uncommon.
But when it happens in the race, i'm doomed.
I try to make everything clear.
The pedal moves OK, nevertheless i opened and cleaned everything.
It seems, that in LFS the pedal indicator "forgets" to follow my feets commands. Usually when i get off the gas and hit the brake. It stays at a certain level, until i realise it, and press the pedal again.
Btw: Yesterday i drove a complete race simulation without it occured. (~70 laps at So4, 1,5 hours racing) Let's hope i have so much luck also in the real race.
Hi.
First: i google-d searched, nothing helped. Maybe someone has an answer.
Problem:
All happened all-sudden, everything worked 4 year since now without probs.
While driving, rarely it happens (10 mins, 1/2h) that i the gaspedal gets stuck by ca. 50%. And it stays so until i press the pedal again. And it stucks always at this level. Then it's again good for 20 or more laps.
Also the buttons weren't reacting sometimes(not for periods, just it didn't recognised 3 presses out of 10), but it seems this disappeared by self.
I screwed the pedal up, cleaned everything, no change (and checked if nothing's broke). reinstalled drivers, no change. Tried it on my laptop too, same problem.
Anyone ideas? Pls, i have a league race with the FO8 at South City, where you just don't have the time to react also to wheel probs...
Well, yes.. that chicane...
Noticed on the straight that we have massive tailwind i braked early,
but didn't counteg with FLP's LX6 landing right before me... After that i just tried to get out of there very very fast...
When everything cleared up i had a comfortable gap behind me and started to learn the track Too bad to start without practice. I took it really easy, just till i noticed that XRRoy was catching up, so i pulled down some faster laps,
made also a few mistakes, but still managed to stay in front
PS: 1-2 laps to catch up, but you still have to overtake
