Nope. Because that would have made it just like all American films that treat the watcher like an idiot and explain every last detail.
No gaping holes. Just lack of needless explanation. All that's needed is the application of a bit of imagination and thought to work out how the scenario came about. i.e. You don't need to be told that CJ was some kind of "team leader" or "techie" in their particular social structure to work out that he clearly wasn't a dumb "worker" like the majority were, and that's how he knew what needed to be done to get home.
Wasn't quite sure what to expect. Turned out to be nothing like I even thought I might expect !! Started off a bit odd, but turned out to be a very good film.
I'm not usually a fan of French films, (he says posting a second one), but this is a brilliantly subtle (and not so subtle) farce. Well worth a watch if you can deal with subtitles.
Skin some animals to sell their fur or have your family and children starve to death or die of a treatable illness because of lack of money to pay medical bills??
Hmmm hard choice.. which I'm sure all of us if actually faced with would have a completely different opinion on the said activity.
Time to get down off our moral high horses living in our privileged castles safe from harm and free of any kind of want methinks.
Lighter wheels are just as bad as heavier ones unless you change the spring and damping rates of the suspension to compensate. Even if you are looking for a higher system resonance the system will become overdamped if you reduce the sprung mass. So basically unless the system was underdamped and undersprung initially, then you've just made it worse.
As has been said the suspension system is actually a combination of :
Tyre + Wheel + Spring + Damper + Suspension levers/arms etc + Bushes + Vehicle body
Change any one of those in isolation and you change the performance properties of the suspension system. So unless you know what the baseline performance figures are empirically + where you want those figures to be, (assuming you even know how the various factors actually affect handling in the first place !), + what you need to change and how to get there + can purchase parts that have the correct attributes you are essentially making a stab in the dark as to whether you are actually changing anything in a positive way.
Of course there is always the suck it and see anecdotal evidence of others that have made various changes to guide you. But given that peoples opinions on how things have changed is completely subjective, its actually almost impossible to know if you've actually made anything better. Might feel better, but that doesn't mean it actually is better, (with the exception of comfort of course obviously).
I have yet to see a single forum etc where someone has done repeatable and consitant measurements of how their vehicle was performing before and after making a change to show if it actually worked or not. That's in any conditions, let alone controlled ones.
Closest I have seen to this happening is motorcycle magazines doing tyre tests where they measured corner speed and lap times for various makes/models of tyre on the same motorcycle.
Something has just occured to me about the big bang theory. It's often stated that all the galaxies are moving apart from each other, so does that mean that they know where the point of origin of the big bang was in the cosmos? Have they calculated it?
Strangely despite having an academic background in Physics, this is something I've never found out, (or have and have subsequently forgotten - quite likely).
They don't look too impressive do they. Having said that it's a heavier car with a lot more power. It's not going to be driven in the same way as an Elise anyway. To get the most out of it you'd use a more "point and squirt" style of driving than the Elise, which will need to rely much more on its cornering speed.
Podium finishes : 37.5%
Top Six finishes: 68.75%
Points finishes : 87.5%
DNFs : 6.25%
Vettel:
Podium finishes : 43.75%
Top Six finishes: 62.5%
Points finishes : 68.75%
DNFs : 18.75%
Rubens has been more consistently in the points and more consistently in the top six places with less out of points finishes and DNFs than Vettel.
Vettel has been quite a bit more inconsistant than Rubens.
As a comparison:
Button:
Podium finishes : 50%
Top Six finishes: 75%
Points finishes : 93.75%
DNFs : 6.25%
Hmm... Well it has to be said that was easily Jensons best drive of the year. One of the best drives I've seen from anyone for a while in fact. No doubting he got lucky though in order to place where he did and take the championship, but thats racing.
Nice to see Hamilton showing his true colours and practically ramming Rubens off the circuit in an attempt to pass, just so he could get his (meaningless) podium finish and damn the championship title contenders chances. Many other drivers would have acknowleged Rubens fight for the title and not made such an aggressive overtaking manouver or pressured him so hard. But no he has to go and clip him and give him a puncture. Not that it mattered ulitmately given Jensons position, but I have no doubts he would have done the same thing even if Jenson had already DNF'd or was way out of the points. Selfish anyone? I haven't actively disliked him to this point, (despite what you may all think), but I'm not impressed with him now.
Fair enough. But the question is. Do you really need it?? Unless you intend to do some serious, (and I mean serious), overclocking I don't really see the need for a case with all those fans, special cooling of HDD enclosures etc Plus, all the bays are a waste unless you're looking to run a server OS on it and set up a RAID array.
It's your money, but personally I'd be buying a mini-tower with one chasis fan, and a tunnel/side vent for the CPU and put the extra money in to a graphics card uprade, more memory, more disc space or something.

Not looking bad for Rubinhos championship hopes, button placed 14th fuel adjusted. If the conditions remain the same as they did in last qualification things look hopeful for Rubens.
Personally, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Much as I like Jensen, I'd rather Rubens took the title. Then he could retire.
Does it have to be that exact case? This one is from the same manufacturer and is identical barring 1 internal 3.5" bay less, doesn't have dual PSU support and is physically smaller. On the flip side it has a larger rear fan, (14cm over 12cm) and it's cheaper.
Well there is no law saying that you need to be a good driver in order to own a decent (sports) car. Rightly so too in my mind.
Anyway, how do you know they're not pushing it for them? It may well be that they go on a track to drive the car as fast as they feel comfortable doing so. If that's a lot slower than the car could go, so be it, it's their money and their life to enjoy as they see fit.
I'd be amazed if anybody pays money to go on a track day and doesn't at least drive faster than they could safely/legally go on public roads.
Track days are all about enjoyment at the end of the day, with the side benefit of learning something about how your vehicle reacts at speeds that you wouldn't normally drive it, in a safe environment. As long as you personally think you got your moneys worth, I wouldn't worry about how slow other drivers might be going in all honesty. Any decent track day should be separating drivers on their pace anyway, so you should never come up against someone that is dangerously slower than you.
Actually I was refering to TV news slots. Which don't have such issues and so have no excuse to be pandering to the voyeuristic tendencies of the plebs.
Who's condoning it? I just don't think it's worthy of prime time news slots.
I'm sure there was at least one, more serious assult on somebody else in the country on the same day, but we'd never hear about it because that person never had the good fortune to win a "talent" competition.
The medias obsession with "celebrities" over true news reporting sickens me to be honest.
Similar to the Leona Lewis story. Why is this even news? It happened in the USA for a start. Its totally irrelevant to us over here. Children go missing for real over here every day and the media is reporting some crap about a stupid kid who hid from his parents. In another country !!!
All true, but why exactly is it news worthy of prime time coverage on all the news channels? She's just someone who can sing, who was assulted. Big deal. Hundreds of people are assulted every day in the UK. I take issue with celebrities making news purely because of their celebrity status. There are far more serious things going on, far more worthy of the limited space available on prime time TV news slots.
Well having done motorcycle track days with my own motorcycle, I can understand peoples reticence to push hard or past their own comfort levels. It's one thing to damage the tracks car/bike at a race school and quite another to do it to your own vehicle. Especially when it's your transport home after the day.
Didn't look like any of the other guys had ever been on a track before. Or at least no one had ever shown them what an apex was
Nice driving though. Liked the way the Porche driver gave himself a bit of a scare at the end there and lifted off to let you pass. Car like that must have been a handful on such a short tight circuit.
It makes the circuit more technical.
It adds different aspects to the set up that need to be accounted for.
It provides a potential overtaking point.
That's just off the top of my head. Remember this circuit isn't for the exclusive use of F1, no circiut is. All circuits are designed with at least a range of race series use, including motorcycles quite often. Circuits are a business, the more races they can have a year, (permits permitting), the more money they make.
There are no right or wrongs about circuit design, (excepting issues of safety, access and public satisfaction that is). Only matters of personal preference. Any bit of road wide enough to allow overtaking can be raced on at the end of the day.
What everyone needs to remember is these guys are all ultra competitive and perfectionist in comparison with normal people. They complain out of frustration that their hard work and effort isn't being realised due to the equipment letting them down. That doesn't even get close to the picture a lot of people on this forum are trying to paint of them of being whiney. To me whiney is some moron that just wants everything given to them with out the need to try. F1 drivers are putting their lives on the line every race and under a lot of pressure, (both external and from themselves), to perform to the best of their ability. They're giving it their best every race, and they expect results from themselves more than anyone. If you don't believe their determination, (which is the complete opposite to whiney in my mind), ask youself why the likes of Nakajima gets in the car at all knowing full well he doesn't have a realistic hope in hell of winning. Don't doubt for a second that these guys are all Alpha male type personalities.
