Quote from thisnameistaken :Luckily there's no metal involved because I don't even know what type of nails you use for metal.

I know that was intentional, but i proper rofl'd

I'd think about just using a stain, then if you're not completely satisfied, you could always pop a light coat of clear varnish over the top.

I got in from a night on the pop about 10 mins ago, and i've just finished reading this thread from start to finish.
I'm now going to pop 800mg of Ibuprofen and go to bed, where i will have a nightmare about maths, in which i'm sure i will be chased by giant calculators or something...

Sorry for O/T

Yeah, i'll back up OcUK too, they may not be the cheapest, but they are great for service.

Aerial cable IS coaxial cable, they are one and the same thing. There are lots of different types of coaxial, such as RG6 and CT100, but they all have two conductive cores in them. I honestly don't know how you could get a decent picture with a single core tbh, the outer core (Braiding) needs to be suitably grounded to keep the inner core protected from interference.
I'd love to see a cross section of what you regard as a "normal aerial cable", do you have any examples?

Quote from sam93 :Yes I couldn't remember the proper spelling. I know the difference between a Aerial and a Coax cable, Virgin uses Coax cables. A Aerial lead has the one wire(core) running through it with other little copper wires going around it and a coax cable just has the one copper wire(core) running through it.
Also, I didn't say that you said my PC wasn't up to it did i? I was just saying that everyone seemed to be saying that I wasnt able to watch it etc... When I tried to I was watching it on cable anyway, was just wanting to record the race, this is how it came across to me as one person posted a link to the live stream when I said that I am watching it live downstairs anyway, not in my op though. I must not of explained it properly.

Coaxial Cable...

Quote from tristancliffe :And best of all, if you come to Snetterton on the 19th October, you'll get to watch me race and Alex race too (assuming I don't bend it again on the Saturday).

I'd consider coming to Snet to watch to be honest, i'll see if i can sort out some transport...

Quote from danowat :Really?, hmmm.......could be a good strategy for the Paris marathon........wonder if crack is a banned substance

I find that "Speed" does a better job for that kind of thing......

Anyway, back on topic.

I wouldn't call my area a derelict hot spot, but there has been a couple of incidents during the 4 years i've lived here.

Last year me and the fiancee were woken in the early hours by exploding noises, and window blinds that were glowing orange, i half expected to look out of the window and see the 4 horsemen
As it turned out, some shmuck had twoc'd a car and decided to leave it 20 meters away from my house, and to set it on fire, the flames were as high as the house. I have a picture of that somewhere.

And just a few days ago on Sunday night, i witnessed a "yoof" trying to put a brick through the drivers window of a Peugeot estate just a few cars back from mine. He tried once and failed, which is when i heard a bang, so i looked out of my window and saw the little chav pr**k throwing a brick at the car, but bouncing off the glass, at which point he legged it. I tried to give chase but my tired old legs were no match for him.
After having called the police and checking the car out, it seems he was after a sat-nav type device that was in the door.
It seems that Peugeot cars glass is hard as nails, the bricks marked it, but it didn't break

Back in the mid 90's when i was at school, when Hardcore was just Hardcore that was suitably dark sounding (for Hardcore), it was good.
But this Happy Hardcore shite is, well, shite . WTF is it with those stupid effing high pitched voices!?
Happy Hardcore = Harcore ruined, for me.

DnB/Breaks/Big Beat/Electro-Techno is where it's at for me when it comes to dance music.

Basically, anything thats not Happy Hardcore, is good

Quote from sam93 :Poor thing, let's hope that it has been taken in now and has a loving family.
Can't believe some people do this to animals, they have feelings, just like we do.

I'm sorry, but what exactly is being done to this animal?
It hasn't been tied to the road, it is sitting there by choice. It looks to me like it is intrigued by the river of water flowing down the gutter.
If the dog wanted to seek shelter, then i'm sure that it would, dogs aren't stupid...

Quote from Klutch :I'de be angry, yea...
But they'll get life in prison, or close to it.

Besides, whats the chances of someone murdering a family member?
Rather slim, i'de think.

In England, if you killed someone and got convicted, you'd be out in less than 10 years if you kept out of trouble whilst inside
Not really fair IMO....

Well some people, like me (an electrician), travel to different places every day for work, so sat navs are extremly handy.
However, i suspect you already know that your post was slightly ignorant
