I've never heard of something like that. This eMail you received is probably just spam or phishing or whatever one might call it. Banning is a local issue. No matter from how many servers you get banned, LFS World and thus the devs will not know it.

The only project in this direction afaik is the "wrecker barricade" and they won't send any emails to the banned people, or do they?

Is the eMail asking for LFSW login and password?

Quote :hi im looking for a team?

It should be "Am I looking for a team?".

And joen is right. Finding a team mostly works by joining servers, showing some fine racing and asking some other team members for a membership.

Unfortunately, there are many dorks out there, that can't be controlled. I fear they won't be impressed much by any threats. And if really one of them will be banned from all servers due to the wreckers barricade, I fear that there will be already two more guys asking you for a/s/l, Becky.

It's a pretty hopeless situation and I really have no clue what would be a good (and realistic) solution to the problem.

The really bad thing is, that this stupid behaviour of some people keeps the even rare femaly community away from LFS. I really would like to see more women racing with us (just to compete with them).

So Becky, be tough and dont give up. I'm sure that most of us will be more polite to you on track, as you can see in this thread.

I allways do left-foot braking. The funny thing is, I never had a problem with it, allthough I drove a total of about 100000km in real life cars before I started playing LFS (which was the first - and last - racing sim in my life).

As soon as I get into my real life car, I use right foot braking (even in close situation where I have to react immediately). In LFS I never really thought about right-foot braking (maybe I'm also too lazy to lift my right foot all the time :shrug.

Welcome! Nice homepage.

Do you have any servers at the moment?

If not, the German Gamers Club (homepage is a bit under construction atm) may be interesting for you. We have servers and are also searching for further LFS Teams or even independent LFS drivers to join our LFS community over there. We are also not taking it too serious, but we compete in the OLFSL and the OWRL.

Members of the GGC should be able to drive fair and clean races, but dont need to be fast or very active. The main intention for us is just to have fun racing together, helping each other with tips and setups and so on.

Recently, the Majestic Dragon Drivers became part of our club, which is now the 2nd LFS team in the GGC (next to Hell on Tyres).

Membership in the GGC is free. We have a 1000 slot TS server and 4 LFS-Servers (but one or two more are possible at the moment, maybe even more in the future). See also here for more info.

See you on track, guys!

Quote from anbiddulph :(LF)²S=LFxLF+S

Definitely wrong:slap:.
(LF)²S=LFLFS is just a multiplication of letters and totally different from (LF)²+S.

quod erat demonstrandum

(PS: Maybe we should stop posting nonsense here, since I think you want to recruit members for your team.)

Quote from XTTX :LLLFFLFFS?

What do you mean? (LF)²S = LFLFS, but obviously

LLLFFLFFS = L³F²LF²S = (LF)^4S

where the last equality only holds, if L and F commutate.
(And what does it stand for btw?)

Sure. Good luck from me too!

But the team-tag (LF)²S would be really nice. That was a serious suggestion.

Well, actually, I like that name.
Smells a bit like the explanation for the GNU abbreviation (known from many open source software projects):

GNU = GNU is Not Unix = GNU is Not Unix is Not Unix = ...

Quote from D34N0 :Is the installation of XAMPP using PHP 5.x?

Yes, I'm pretty sure this is the case. Does this mean I have to downgrade to version 4.x or will there be a fix someday?

I will test it soon and tell you the results ...

EDIT: I used the XAMPP tool to switch back to PHP "4.4.1 -pl1" but nothing changed. Reload and nothing after login as "admin". Am I really the only one having such problems?

It seems that everything is installed properly. The domain variable is set correctly, the database contains 5 tables for cars, fuel, setups, tracks, and users.

I have other homepages locally installed which are using PHP and which work correctly.

I can only think, that it might be some problem with the mysql database connection, but then there should be an error message, right? (mysql host, user and pw are set correctly in page.class.php)

Maybe I should test the MySQL-stuff with another homepage ...

Hi,

I'm trying to test your Setup Station on my PC (I'm using XAMPP).

The database is setup correctly and all the options are set, but when I try to login for the first time as admin, the login screen just reloads and nothing else happens. No error messages occur.

What am I doing wrong?

Thx for any help!

Well, looks nicer than I expected.

And I know that faster111 has some problems with his native language due to his dyslexia, but there surely are other members in that team which I suppose to be able to write some proper english.

Come on guys, just try a little harder ... The quoted text below is just embarrassing.:sadbanana

Our team homepage is online again . The GGC website is also online, but still under re-construction. The forum can be found at the new domain:

http://forum.german-gamers-club.de

So we'll hopefully meet again soon!

Just if you are wondering, our servers are moving at the moment, so our homepages and the forum will not be available for a short time. Everything should be back tomorrow or in two days .

Sorry for that :sorry:, hope to hear from you in our forums .

Nice to hear. So you might introduce yourself and your team in our forums and then we will meet in TS soon (not before tomorrow, I guess, I have no time tonight :shrug.

The TS-Server data can be found here (the IP given there has changed 2 days ago, now it is 85.25.141.79:8787).

We are all pretty laid back people and just racing for fun, but with commitment. Most of us are driving in the OWRL.

We can also give you some tips for developing your own team further, since we also just created our team some months ago out of a loose bunch of people that were driving for the GGC. In the meantime, we gained much experience with skins, homepage and members coming and going ...

I'm really looking forward to hear from you soon!

Welcome! Maybe you're also interested in the following offer:

Think about joining the German Gamers Club (with your whole team without loosing your identity of course). We have servers and you might get your own team-server eventually. Membership is for free in the GGC and so are the servers.

Our only problem at the moment is that we lack of people. We want to change that in order to have more fun racing with each other.

The German Gamers Club has two teams, Hell on Tyres (°HoT, 7 members) and the Club-Team GGC (currently only 1 member). Visit our homepages (see my signature) and our forum for more details if you're interested.

As you can see, my team has also gained some profit out of that membership. We have LFS-Servers (hot.german-gamers-club.de) and a webspace (subdomain of the german-gamers-club.de) and it's all for free.

Just visit us on our servers, homepage and forum or our TS to get more details.

Kind Regards,
