I should mention you can just press the S to save a sound. So loading into thr xrt and saving the blow off and turbo noises, you can load them onto your lx6 that way too.
When youre testing your mod in game, press SHIFT+A and it brings up engine audio editing. The L & S buttons on the right side allow you to load in your own sound clips for turbo blow off or engine sound too. Once youve got the sound youre happy with export the engine file to your LFS editor engines folder and make sure to select it in the TRANSMISSION section in the editor.
A random in our server was going backwards in it and hitting high top speeds lol. He didn't win any races though since the steering gets hard to manage
Thanks for the feedback Scawen! Yea the physics are just on the limit of working, any smaller and things start to brake lol. I just did an update and changed the engine sound to a more tradition electric RC motor sound which works a lot better for how we built the chassis. Originally I wanted it to be a Nitro RC kind of style but we ended up with a chassis closer to RC drift cars with electric motors.
Glad to hear everyone's enjoying it! Were having a blast racing these online so its cool to hear most people are having the same experience.
Was a great race to spectate! Really shows just how crazy these cars were back in the day! I was sight being on the sidelines watching and listening to the cars scream by in groups haha!
Just Shows off the RC chassis, you get to pick a shell once you load it up in the pits by changing configuration.
Few of the guys thought it would be cool for a "no-shell config".
It is just like re-volt & FR Legends! hahah thats perfect! Ill take a look at the suspension tonight, couple things got to be cleaned up with the shadows too The downforce of the undertray is a little high too, although i do like how much the cars hug the ground...
Man really happy to hear this . This is exactly the reason why I like making mods, Other racing sims can be intense to run on a older system so having this feature in LFS and the joy of being able to model/drive our favorite cars is so cool.
I know no way around it since you cant have aerodynamics be contributed to configuration sets.. Just like tire sizes cant be changed with different configurations either which is another thing i ran into on the P1 and the Phoenix. ( I just turn off the wing aero if im rocking the early spec )
New update guys! Didn't get around to fixing the animation or texturing the interior yet :/ got very side tracked with new exterior features lol
Going to try and get the rest sorted tomorrow, hate having the interior still unfinished as it makes for a rough VR experience.
Rally default setup and visual additions! The original and TransAm setups have been adjusted too. The stock car setup has been made even more default and looks like normal low spec traffic.
New steering wheel WIP... basically just a placeholder cause im unsure if ill keep this one as is. Im probably going to try and make a larger steering wheel maybe something more wood grain?
Love this 240z great work, i was going to mention the same thing martin18 did lol. Thought the choice of motor was a little weird. Also your tire sizes are extremely small why not a 15" or 14" with 45 ratio or 50? something with a little more meat to fill the fenders
Mod is top notch man! Really like that you’re going all-out with the accuracy and recreating the IRL car into LFS. My favourite part of making a mod is finding all the specs and try to replicate it to then drive in game looking forward to what comes next for this
definitely a bug... I was sure I added the multiple configuration pieces to my LOD2 but will put out a quick update tonight fixing that if I had missed that during my recent update changing all the configurations lol
Car is uploaded and awaiting review. Hopefully it will be playable online tomorrow and you guys can give your feedback! Thanks for the comments so far everyone!
Let me know if you feel anything should be changed on the car, other than the obvious texturing that I'm still working on!
EDIT: Just thought that for the animation you can make the driver lean in the car the harder you turn haha, would be a cool addition to add and not to hard to do!
