Yep, I think it was on RedLine Racing 2.
It was great, but (there is always a but!) I think some objects (tyres or barriers) should be used to avoid people cutting the oval through the pit exit lane (you know the flat tarmac), yesterday some people used this trick to overtake and because the FOX its quite stable going through this "pit exit lane" its not so penalised as it is on a F08 or BF1 (whit these you usually lose time)
here stands my opinion nothing more. I will come back today for sure, I leave BL1 for enthusiastic people and noobs (well, I’m one of them but in disguise )
Well for me its clear:
- something new and fun
- I will skip old heritance from the past (i.e. Pit girls)
Pit Girls its just a chauvinist idea that shouldnt be there to vote in the first place, the first we erradicate that kind of things the best for everybody.
You can even use a free 56k connection. You just need a land line and a crappy modem, prize as a Local call rate (normal local telephone call). Telefonicanet must have dial-up free connections.
bye
EDIT: the mobile phone needs GPRS, PC connectivity (usually Mini-USB) and the original software. There is normally a option to do calls with the pc (calling a free ISP connects the pc to internet)
Hi guys
I've searched a bit and no found what I was looking for: c++ libraries for InSim, I have only found Java and Vbasic libraries. Well… I want g++ but at the end of the day it’s the same
Instead of starting another thread, I’m going to post where I found the only info useful.
If anybody knows the existence of these, please it would be helpful for people like me: willing to program ‘something’, but that are new to the community.
This brings another topic to my post. There is no point to do things that have been done on the past. Start an “InSim Library thread” would be a good idea, since there exist applications done on java, vbasic, c++, python and probably more..
I know gadaga was looking for these c++ libraries here, but he hasnt shared yet.
I'm aware that almost all the applications or add-ons are not open-source, but share the InSim libraries wouldn’t hurt anyone and would encourage new people to spend time debugging…
What do you think? Would you mind sharing on a GPL fashion?
Other thing you can do to get it working its actually use the function available on forums called "search", its very powerful and as this project has a great community your problem probably has been solved before.
There is a new Wine version since 25 January, so I guess it's worthy download and compile-install, etc... With that version and the latest Nvidia drivers I manage to get a nice and almost constant 60-70 fps with an AMD 2600 and 512mb. The only drawback I see with linux and LFS: my G25 is almost useless.
So now we can merge this thread with the one on the link above to have all the info sorted.
To be honest with you I dont think devs should give away extra-unlocks that easy. Besides in December everybody got a extra unlock along with patch V and then the January unlock. Doing the maths you should have 2 unlocks avaliable for January
I'm with you Gunn!
For example a thing I find quite annoying is going to the cinema on time and then waste those 15 minutes or so watching stupid adds about pointless things (the trailers are ok though)...
So The Ads around a circuit or around a football pitch or basketball court, or whatever it is, are something to give realism to the simulation enviroment, but, for example if you are using Flightgear you woulndt expect seeing a dirigible or Zeppelin saying Nivea for Men: Don't Forget to ... ilots never have a Beard!, would you? Well, at least I wouldnt!
Great work Gobby, your standard of skinning is tops!
Is it already on LFS World?
If so, I would suggest changing the name from "BF1_ferrari" to something like "BF1_07Ferrarri" to avoid confusions.
I have plenty of space there, so I could upload it to LFSWorld.
Probably Im not the only one, but I have three HQ pics with the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes on them (resolution= 8858x5906). Problem: around 2mb each.
In case somebody it’s interested in them, just ask and I'll use my email account three times
Bye
From a theoretical point of view, I think this is related to the fact that a system with 2 motors can be unstable.
That vibration that you experience it’s the overshoot increasing after a step input (a small tap in a straight line). I wouldn’t be worried that is done in this way to increase the time response (rise time) of the motors, of course the prize to pay is that the steady time and the overshoot increase. As an example, most of the Jets are unstable systems. Why? One of simplest reasons it’s because they need rapid response when manoeuvring.
Of course when over 100% you don’t need the step input anymore, the noise or lag can even play that role.
A green/red arrow (like a traffic light or something) wouldn’t harm anybody.
Thus you get the right direction and avoid pulling out in front of pit-lane traffic. In my view this would help absent-minded or scatty people and, of course, newbies
The R27 livery is provisional (have a look on autosport).
Another thing that look suspicious is that Ferrari has not released any lateral or rear picture. That's maybe (i'm messing around) because the pictures are just from the chasis without the whole engine and stuff mounted...
By the way, there are also new helmets around (Alonso's and Hamilton's for example)
Its funny that the F08 its the most popular OW out there and Its the only one that u barely see online.
For me the F08 at WE is the greatest of the experiences, nice and smooth...
Some people have asked that question before... including myself the first time, but I think if you omit that button from the interface people would come to the forum asking "where is the xxx button to download? there are some http addresses but no button or whatsover to download ..." So for me it works as an "informative" button that I've only pressed the first time. Correct me if im wrong...
I'm not really understood what you mean there. Anyway Noise cancellation is an effect of "Destructive interference" between sound waves, and happens to occur at a phase difference of 180º (maximum cancellation). The source of this difference can be several things (distance between sound sources, wave travelling with different speeds, i.e. different matter, etc) all related to the wave path.
Anyway and coming back to the topic. The Sounds have definitely improved from last patch.
With U34-U35 and the BF1 at seven gear and maximum RPM in the Blackwood's straight I had experienced the sound very distorted. Now that has been solved, and the sound is smashing.
Regarding Xmas breaks, have the best of luck with the latest Travel Chaos.
I have a question regarding the sequential mode that could be either a bug or my ignorance (sorry if it’s this). I own a G25, so I have a extra pedal to use as clutch and therefore I have been able to set the road cars to sequential with auto clutch off, that is
/shifter sequential
/autoclutch 0
/gcblip 0
I will use an example of the funny thing that happens, say with the XFG:
I'm going in 3rd (no rush)and start to accelerate and I forgot that I have now clutch's aid off and don’t press the clutch and use the shifter to change up to 4th, obviously the gearbox remains in 3rd. Then (silly me) press the clutch and the gear changes automatically to 4th (with no using the shifter at all this time).
If I'm going in 2nd and change twice gears up without press the clutch, when press the clutch (without using the shifter again) the gear changes to 4th.
Summarising, the problem in my view it is that when there is a mismatch between the gear changing and the clutch pedal pressing, the system-car still remembers that you have used the shifter . And in addition the “red led” related to the RPM doesn’t work when you have used the shifter without pressing the clutch.
I have almost 10 years experience in normal road cars driving (H shifters), so I know already that in RL you can’t literally move the shifter without disengage the engine with the clutch or even worse move from neutral to a gear without using the clutch (well you can try it if you are quite close to a garage).
I don’t know if RL sequential cars have the property mentioned before (I've never had one). If so, I’m sorry for my lack of knowledge.
The white decal after Lois is "Meycom Sport" and it was the name of the team at the moment, now I think is called Meycom something.
The other two I just cant see them atm.
Anyway, yours is on the list (Nr.24) so check out the website and if any problem detecting decals just let us know.
Decals:
- Merlett
- Repsol YPF
- El mundo
- www.racing-engineering.com
- Only god knows what the centered square is about...
BTW, the coat of arms below the flag belongs to "RACE" that is "Real Automóvil Club de España" but unfortunately they used the old version. The most HQ pic that I have found is attached.
