This was tough and I could be out on a few of them as I was going by Amazons release dates
I think I made a pretty good list. Base on my theory that if it sounds good i'll listen to it. So many bands left off just as they were a few years out - I know, looking at the list it's pretty mainstream stuff, oh well. The obsuce stuff I have was not released in 2000 - 2009
Well... I've had no problems. I play lfs and other games and it works fine. Never minimises apps. Doesn't really use much resource except running a scan but I often run one when i'm not using the pc for anything special and as habbit always check for updates before playing anything.
What is that? One right click and 10 or less seconds of waiting.
I Always turn off stuff that trys to make popup such as msn messanger :bananadea
AVG free is slighty pointless to me really as the things I hate the most (rootkits) most do not get rid of and as long as you don't brows much porn sites, hack/crack sites or download loads of illegal software or open spam e-mails you're not that likley to get virused.
Though most rootkit finders are bit crap as nice software uses them too and they do not seem to be able to tell the difference or there is no way to tell the difference. Hmpf.
Plus if you run Linux you're already decreasing your risk of viruses as the dicks who make these things mainly go after the windows wombles and most of those users get their viruses from the abouve.
I cant rly add to the list as one of my face cars (the mini) is in lfs even if it does have diff lights and is called a uf1. Plus even the racing version is in lfs too. How sweet is that?
Though actually a real mini in real life is a bit more fun but it's still quite entertaining to drive the mini race car in lfs.
Oh yes... so my suggestion. Bike Engined Mini, like a z-cars thing or something. More POWER and real wheel drive. SORTED!
Umm. I think i had a point, oh wait. Yes... while gfx are not the be all and end all even in modern times, we have to realise and accept progress does happen and moove with it
Gfx does improove and will always do so (untill time stops or mass natural disaster or lack of electricity)
So it sounds like a good idea. Perhaps in the future.
Some (not all) servers have scripts in place that ban people if they swear too much. Swearing does suck but in the heat of the moment in certain situations people do swear.
Some people are just morons though. But then again, having said moron I potentially offended some people.
And having not read this improovement suggestions list before I find it a really good list, but there is potentially so much that needs to be done, the mid boggles at where a developer would try to start from as no one would be happy with the first thing that got completed. I guess in reality lfs will develop in its own time and at the devs own pace whether we scream and moan or not. After all, we are just the players of their creation and they will ultimatley guide the progress to their liking and eventual plan...
Wait... why would you need to drive in shift F mode if you drive in first person mode? as you can block text to ignore the chat, turn off the map, pedals, steering indicator and virtual guages. You can pretty much turn off all the interface.
do scandanavian flick (turn one way then opposite in quick sucession) is quite an easy way to get a drift going and predict, but you will allways have to be quite quick with the steering.
Most of the time people (including me) loose the drift because of turning the opposite way (correcting) too late.
I've seen em fall over on purpose, they seem to fall over a lot to get attention.
Though football is funny, fans get so angry and mad if their beloved crappy team looses and they go out and start fights. So lame. I think you need only 1 brain cell to watch football, thats why people get so mad at it because they don't have the capacity to not get that angry. Football players sure are rich just for kicking a ball around in a field.
But I guess if it gets kids out and cures obsesty then it's all good. Now where did I put that magic potion to cure fat chicks...
- I was gonna post this but could not find a clip as it was on bbc click.
Cool in a way but they said that you will be able to race vs real drivers but you wont actually be there so u'll sort of just be playing catch up all the time. I know gaming is a bit lame anyway but chasing jason plato and 'beating him' but not really being there, that kinda drops the lame level even more.
Not sure if I like it to be honest. If something is that real you may as well actually go and do it.
I still like there to be a good distinction to real and not real. Like one of those rare, horrid dreams where you think something was actually real, then get outside to realize that yes it was just a dream. Or the other times when you wake up and thank god it was not real.
I think it will make buckets of cash for the company if they get a proper version ever released. Because so many people want the real racing experience in their living rooms or after a long day at work.
Love the idea, would love to be in the loop when the money starts rolling but cant imagine myself using it.
ah thanks yeager. I read that perl you can do one thing in 'a thousand ways' and was tempted to learn perl.
One part of the program is to use the snmp language to go hunt out what is really connected to the network and I found most of these seemed to be written in perl. This is what made me compare the languages and wonder if I might be better off learning perl.
We did a year or so in java so I have a bit of a head start there and i've got a half decent coherent list of good and bad points.

Reason : I suck at eng sometimes... hey i'm welsh.
The ps one is obviousley better because I spent a lot longer on it but at the end of the day the results are still similair.
Good prog this gimp, getting quite used to it. just got to think of a good skin idea now. Plus it's nice to be able to have something with simialir power to ps but free (and not torrented or illegally copied)
v nice. Though I thought the reflections looked a bit sheeny shiney. Like someone had dropped a bottle of oil all over the cars then put them in direct sunlight.

thats just some random scribblings from my diss but sidetracked by lfs forum
