Volvo S80 V8 AWD (current model) or a D5 AWD if that is available in America. We've had one for the past two winters and not once has it even begun to get stuck in the snow (on summer tyres).
Yes I'm a Volvo fanboy but this is actually an example of a genuinely good car
That's kinda against eBay rules but quite frankly nobody really gives a damn, so yes you don't really need to purchase it online (assuming this is a Buy It Now item). If it's an auction then some sellers will prefer to let the auction run, particularly if it has a load of bids obviously.
If you wanted to do it the proper way you could purchase the item online and then pay cash on collection. Whilst the seller will still get charged eBay final value fees, he will at least be able to avoid Paypal fees. As an eBay seller, there is nothing worse when you sell an item worth £500, which needs to be collected in person anyway due to size/weight, and then the buyer goes and pays with paypal
Difficult to get the motion blur correct as it's not a straightforward panning shot. And I think the car might be a bit light for the surroundings - might change the colour as it's difficult to make a white car look good in dark conditions without making it look grey.
It's probably on the borderline of being a writeoff, but the repair costs are still pretty significant in comparison to the market value of the car.
All we can really see from the photo provided is the bodywork damage, but that's probably £700+ in (decent not bodged) paintwork even before you factor in the cost of the actual panels and fitting. Then there's all the bits and pieces behind the bumper and under the bonnet that could need replacing.
Select the grey background using magic wand tools + whatever other selection tools you need to get a clean edge
Press delete to remove grey background and then put a new transparent layer underneath the car layer. Use paintbrush tool with a soft brush and 50% or so opacity, draw shadow under car. It takes some time/skill to make it look perfect. Ideally do it in one hit, once you start touching in areas you get uneven shadow and it looks a mess. This is how I'd do a shadow but other people may have other suggestions.
5 second bodge job example attached below
(In this example the shadow is too dark and generally rubbish :rolleyes
Yes but it looks a bit of a mess having this random bit of cable running the length of your house. Also I was unwilling to excavate the walls of my house and redecorate about 60% of the rooms. I probably could have hidden about half of the cable's length under the floorboards (no carpet), but it would still have looked like a pretty damn good mess. Also I don't have time to lift and replace all those floorboards.
And you refer to powerline adapters as shit... I just did another speed test and got 7.32 mbps, which is good enough considering my connection is 8mpbs. The fact of the matter is it works for those of us whose house is more than just a box to accommodate computer hardware.
9 out of 10 times, if your car very gently touches the bumper of another car, there is no damage whatsoever (happens from time to time when cramming 10 cars into a driveway with millimetres between them).
Although I agree that I wouldn't dare make contact with another person's car. If you have to do that then realistically the parking space is too small (unless you're Russ Swift )

Not wanting to derail the thread or anything :dunce:
A lot of dealers don't seem to realise that it is the pictures that sell a car. A couple of times we've had a car that's been advertised for a week or so with no pictures, but as soon as the pictures are uploaded, the phone melts.
You see some adverts where dealers haven't even bothered to check that the picture is not blurred/out of focus. They might say that they don't have time to spend ages taking pictures, but at the end of the day, if buyers don't respond to their adverts, they no longer have a business.
