Well waddaya know... the engine slider was turned down pretty low.....and the sounds couldn't be heard anything under around 7.0... thanks, it's fixed now

RB4 turbo whine/dumpvalve sounds...gone?

Not sure when it started to happen, but I just realized that the whine and the dump sound effects on my RB4 have disappeared...

I checked my /data/snd/DumpValve.raw against a friends' and they appear to be the same.... what do you think could be the problem?

Will do a fresh install a little later....but just wondering if anyone knows a fix off the top of their heads.

Was playing GT Legends on it before the new alpha came out

Pretty messy, but I'm waiting for a new set of fans and PSU before cleaning things up...

If you use logitech's gaming profiler, you can create a command called shift up and shift down and bind it to both your stick and paddle.

Quote from Gunn :Looks good mate, could also be great for itchy feet!

You know what? I actually found that pretty useful today... was doing one of the longest stages in Richard Burns Rally and an itch came up... sure was glad I had the cheese graters on my pedals.

no, not unless there exists a splitter that takes a resolution a chops it in half to two monitors.

most splitters simply duplicate the image from one input to multiple outputs, so it would do you no good.

Quote from BWX232 :hehe, yeah Style XP is for us lazy people.. LOL

nah I'm even lazier.... I just use the UXTheme patcher from neowin that gets everything working with windows natively.

A little aluminum mesh, a few tools, and half an hour of bending... sure beats the original plasticy plasticness.

Quote from atledreier :With the latest drivers and the control centre you can span propertly. Problem is, the control center is so crappy that nothing else will work like it should. But spanning does.
If you download the drivers with the control panel, then you don't get proper spanning. Way to go, ATI.... illepall

Yeah... it's a dang shame that the catalyst control center is the only way to enable spanning with the majority of their cards.

Quote from mike11973 :I see so I need to download the original ati catalyst software from them to do it?

Not just the drivers, but it has to be the driver pack with the Catalyst Control Center. Don't know why they had to make it this convoluted, but it just is. The driver pack alone lets you do extended desktop, but that would only maximize the game to the primary... gotta use the horizontal span setup.

Quote from mike11973 :Nice setup...I also have a 9800pro and a 2500+m overclocked to 2.5 ghz...my question is I have a 2nd 19" crt in my closet which will match up with the 1 that I am currently using but dont know how to have to game span across the 2 of them like you did. Could you please tell me how you did it.

Basically you'll have to install the ATI catalyst control center (as much as I'd rather use omega drivers), and use the wizard in ccc to setup a horizontal stretch/span. Can't do it with the regular drivers, can't do it with modded drivers...only the ccc.

In the game, just enable non-square resolutions to get one that'll match the span (stuff like 2560x1024 or 3200x1200).

It's not gonna be pleasant for you though...the huge bezel of your CRT's will need a lot of getting-used-to.

Finally got a DFP today... GEEZ that thing is strong. I'm exhausted from fighting that thing all day, haha...

You can see the P180 that I just got last week... plus the Silverstone PVR rig on the top rack.
