well, i am using mouse for 4 years, and just dont want to buy wheel because, then i will have to relearn and so on, but the best what I can do in XFG in BL is 1:35, the rear wheel drive cars are not for me, but some how i dont even want to drive them, may be because in real life i prefer FWD, so see no point learning RWD

Quote from J@tko :You pick a car, drive around under the speed limit to get money to buy new cars. And run away from the police, who then ban you for having fun.

so its a closed circle, server is made for fun, but you get baned for having it... d'oh!

i dont understand what you want to have... This flashy burnout, which gives you extra grip, more smoke, or that tyres after burout would be more sticky? you can do burnout already, just for your personal fun

Quote from Dark Elite :I'm in agreement with JTbo, the clutch is a bit strong in most cars - particularly the LX6.

But to take a general view on the clutch thing, what controller are you using, kABLiuks? Anyway:

At least ninety per cent (72% of statistics are made up on the spur of the moment, including both of those) of LFS drivers don't have a variable clutch with which to control the car, and so their clutch input is either on or off. If you take a 'normal' road car up to 6000rpm in reality and then sidestep the clutch - which is what you're doing, without a variable clutch input - it is going to hate you for it. Just as changing gear without releasing the throttle: have you ever seen anyone do this in real life, except as a one-off mistake? That's because it has a tendancy to annihilate clutches.

Another point is that LFS is not simulating clutch wear, just clutch temperature. So if you stop, or drive easier, to let it cool down again, you're no worse off. It's not meant to simulate permanent clutch damage, just heating, and if you're trying to tell me that your clutch doesn't heat up considerably when you sidestep the pedal at full throttle, I'd like to hear what car you drive

Sam

ammm...okey i have to confes, I use keyboard, and now it seems a bit better after your explanaition guys, especialy that in real life I dont do full throttle all the time, which could make clutch overheat.
New clutch in Y a bit wrong

After trying the new patch, i must say that it really is one of the best, and really has lots of changes to the good side, but this new clutch sestem seem a bit too weak. It's a bit strange that you can damage it by making one start with almost full throttle, its just seem that its taken from a stock 0.9L daily drive car. Its just wrong.

This clutch issue had to be changed very long time a go, but now, when it is changed it just doesnt seem to be very real, just think about making one bad burn out in your daily car and the clutch goes off, disaster!

It my opinion, say yours

Quote from the_angry_angel :Shift + U, then select the "Load" button. If you don't have any buttons press space.

You must have admin rights where-ever you do this.

Oh, i noticed that it happens in demo session, if I create S1 it okey.. strange a bit... probably demo is still demo

More suspension/tyre damage

Hi,

May be its dicussed already, but still I think damage should be greater. The thing is, that especialy in Fearn Bay there ar a lot of turns, which you can cut by going even on a gras and jumping a bit. So while racing, and making such small but hard jumps for smth like 12 or 15 times suspension should get a bit of damage, or atleast if you bump hard the tyre should blow. its stil a rubber so if you land on one or two wheels on a hard surface and the tyre pressure is not big enouth the tyre deformates and can easyly be cuted in by a metal rim.

Hi,
I am new here, so dont shout at me.

My question is, wich track is/are most popular among S2 drivers. Because now I have S1 and only one server is actualy alive, so I am looking farward to get S2 licence, but firstly it would be good to know wich tracks to practice most to be able be somewere not in the back. And wich car are used the most?

okey, here I come
First play of live for speed was in 2002, and then i told every one it is an amasing game. No body beleived, and only a few tried and said it sucks ir just loved a lot. After 5 years i still love it and only now I decide to buy S1, but as i saw that there are only a few servers online, so now i will soon purchase S2.
BTW this game helps my Civic to do some tricks on snow i try it in game and then in rallity
