Quote from Jamesisinthehouse12 :You will not be able to use the XBCD drivers on the xbox 360 wireless controller unless they release wireless xbox 360 controller drivers.
But you will be able to use it, just without the XBCD drivers.

I sort of answered this above, but just to clarify, no you will not be able to use the XBCD drivers on the xbox 360 wireless controller yet.

In the LFS Options in the Controller section, just adjust the steering wheel degrees.

P.S. I used the XBCD drivers but then uninstalled them and went back to the default windows drivers. I did this because the XBCD driver converts the Force Feedback to Vibration Feedback, so in games like Crysis it won't work because there isn't Force Feedback because it is built-in with Vibration Feedback for your xbox 360 controller or any other controller (Because is a "Games For Windows" game).

Anyway, happy xbox 360 controllering

the minimum is 90, way too much. There's no damping for gamepads, so you have twitchy superhuman steering ability. Isn't there anything that can be done with joy2key or something? :/

C'mon people, really need some help with making a gamepad less twitchy.

High revving engines in small engines are because of the variable timing/valves to beat the point of volumetric efficiency. Once the pistons move so fast they can't intake enough air to produce more power, this is the volumetric efficiency point. Hondas have computers that open the valves more at high rpm to let more air in. Most modern four bangers redline around 7-8000rpm.

FWD GT class does fine. The FXO isn't a small car, a sedan would only be a few inches longer and maybe 100-200lbs heavier.

Quote from henrico-20- :you can change the car engine sound yourself..

Go to LFS map / data / engine/ and then change the name of this file; FZ5_default.eng and FZ5_default_1.eng

kopie thes files to a other map, change the names into FXO_default.eng and FXO_default_1.eng. then copie these files again and replace them into the Engine map. tadaa you have the FZ5 v6 engine sound in yr FXO

you also can do a mix of car sounds! just the same way as i told before but then use for example FZ5_default.eng and MRT_default_1.eng and change the names to FXO!

verry easy and no work for scawen so he can go on holiday

grtz

Er, no. Every sound sample is a single pop noise, and LFS's sound engine works by multiplying those samples. You can't get a 6 cylinder sound with a 4cylinder engine.

Quote from JJ72 :because then it wouldn't be balanced. It'll end up something with a lot of low range torque, very front heavy and drives like a pig, it will overtake everyone on the straight, and lost it in the next corner becaues the front tires vapourized.

The whole TBO class already have low end torque. You're exaggerating it a bit. A 3 liter V6 would hardly weigh more than a 2.4L flat four to cause handling like that. The FXO already handles horribly.

It's change, it's new, it's a break from the 4 cylinders that dominate LFS.
Noob machine, wow. Your intelligence baffles me.

Quote from dawesdust_12 :Yes, but it'd also be totally different from the TBO class, which the other 2 cars are Turbos, It'd be stupid to change it just cuz "it sounds wrong". Are you gonna start going "OMG LFS SUX, CARS RNT REAL LOLZ" now?

Quote from Karbine : Even a 2.4- 3.0L turbocharged or supercharged V6 would be adequate to keep it in the TBO class.

Quote from dawesdust_12 :People already bitch that it's unbalanced with the other TBO cars, would you rather it have a V6 but instead of car wheels, it have bicycle wheels?

I'm happy with it as a 4 cylinder.

What? That made no sense. Bitch that it's unbalanced? Is this a world where the devs can't tweak it? the HP and torque would stay the same, reduce the car's overall weight a tad to compensate for the heavier motor. A V6 would fit just fine.

I load the tool.. start the game, grab an XRT... only setting that will change is drivetrain. I can't change cylinders, none of that. Wtf.

^ Average LFS user, lol.
FXO, with a V6?
Karbine

I'm tired of all the four cylinders. the FXO just sounds like ass, and feels out of place with a flat four. FXO with a 3.3 - 3.6L V6 is a lot of fun, and feels more 'honda accord' like. A V6 just feels natural to the FXO. Even a 2.4- 3.0L turbocharged or supercharged V6 would be adequate to keep it in the TBO class.

What do you all think?

Hey, I've been searching everywhere. I need something close to patch X for personal reasons. U, v, w, those would be fine. I have Q, but it won't connect to the servers.
If you can find me a mirror, thanks.

Restored windows, DFP drivers won't install/can't uninstall
Karbine

I was playing a game, my pc shut off. Rebooted, my boot ini and hal.dll had screwed one another. So I did a nifty Windows Restore that restores all my drivers and crap to their original, which means I had to go in and install all my drivers for gfx card, network, etc. I get along to my dfp, which only shows up as 'Driving Force' in the game controllers, so I try to install the drivers. Blabla, asked to overwrite old drivers, because windows restore doesn't remove any files, just registry and other crap. So i get to the wingman installation, the destination folder is empty. So i set a destination, hit install. I go there, nothing there. I try running the files it installed in the first part, none of it would run, or gave me errors. So my DFP totally doesn't work, doesn't show up in device manager, can't remove from control panel, not in add/remove programs, what the hell do I do? I need help ASAP.
Thanks.
DFP suddenly doesn't work; lights flashing.

So yeah, all of a sudden my dfp dies. The Profiler shows no probs, windows shows no probs, but my pc isn't registering it's actions. Games, the profiler, nothing is showing any response from it. The left light is flashing and it doesn't calibrate itself at boot. I haven't done anything to it, it worked fine this morning.
I really need help, quickly.
thanks

-I've already tried updating/replacing the logi gaming drivers, no good.
