I tried the NTM and my opignon about iRacing didint change. I hate it, in iRacing I always feel like I have to battle with the car for it to stay on the road, I can't brake properly and I have the overall sence that many things are wrong. When I finally manage to be in the zone then there's the irating problem, no one races, everyone act as if they are scared of lossing irating points which makes the racing really boring and unnatural. LFS is still the best simulation out there, it's the only place where I can try to overtake someone and know that he/she won't do something stupid out of fear of a collision.
look better yeah. Give them more money? nop, they might even loose some if they want to sign Webber again because if he finished second in the WDC he'd probably want a bigger contract.
glad I've miss the race, F1 is nothing but a joke this year, they introduce the DSR and bring back the kers to help overtaking but as soon as there is a contact the driver gets a penality, it's pure bs
I guess you are right whiskey, with one exception : ice --> abs does not give you any more control then non abs in any situation simply because there just not enough control/grip to begin with rendering pretty much everything useless (when you hit an ice pad and the tyres looses all their grip theres not much to do but wait until you they regain some)
bought my first car during last winter! an 01 civic with no abs (crappy brakes in general) and average winter tyres. Let me tell you that without abs I have way more control over braking/handling in snow/ice condition then I had in my mom's civic(with abs). Now that the snow is gone i've been able to check for a difference between abs and non abs on a dry road : pretty unexistant =/ --> about the same braking distance, I can brake in a curve in both cars without any problems. My opignion stays the same, abs is an useless piece of technology for anyone who really knows how to drive which, in quebec atleast, means... about 15% of the population .
P.S. ABS do work in reverse on a civic, I've tried it during last winter
As a recall(atleast on road course) most of the nascar drivers don't use the clutch to downshift, they just rev match. I've even seem some of them use left foot braking.
Imo it's gonna be a challenge for both drivers but I think the adaptation will be alot harder for Stewart. I base my opignon of this on a video I saw some time ago about button and a supercar v8 driver that swapped car, while Button was fast almost instantly, it took a while for the v8 driver to adapt(ok it was on a road course but still)
LOL @ Webber --> that's what you get for not using option tyres to "compensate" the kers problems --> He could not aim for the pole without the kers why not use a set of option tyres to atleast pass Q1.
looks more like a tyre explosion then a suspension failure to me --> you can see some smoke coming out of the side of the tyre, then is blows and then the suspension "collapse"
edit : just saw heidfeld video could it be brake problems for the renault cars?
i'm with turkey on that one. iRacing sucks, badly.
I can't help to feel that there is something wrong when racing on iracing especially on the braking (and that's something i'm really good at in LFS).
The sr rating is totally retarded : Yay I got a 4x because some retard rear ended me!! or better yet I slightly rubbed the guy infront of me (the kind of hit that wouldn't even scratch the paint) and I get a 4x because the netcode is broken. But the very worst part of the sr rating is that it kills the race because you always have it in the back of your mind --> you can't go a little beyond your limit in the risk of going in the grass and loosing point even if you don't loose control.
Another thing about iracing is the general level of skill. Not speed wise but racing wise. People on iracing have absolutly no idea how to react when they either overtake or get overtaken, I can't count the number of time some retard I was overtaking ended up slamming me when I was on the inside, it feels like there's aboslutly no race ethics.
If Alonso finishes first or second hes de champion, if he finishes third and Webber doesn't win Alonso is the champion. It's still far from being over. Go Alonso, go Vettel!
hamilton with new tyres, webber and vettel close to eachother, thats gonna be interesting (too bad F1 is too retarded to use nascar's safety car rules, theres like 4 cars between 2nd and 3rd...)
wet setup or not, imo it's a question going all out with nothing to loose versus playing the championship. With that said, Hulkenberg did an amazing job, sadly he has no chance of winning tomorrow if it's a dry race (except something really bad happens in the back xD)
