Round 2 report - C. Winkler extends championship lead

The OWRL was back last Thursday for more MRT action, this time on Aston Club Reversed, a track known to provide close racing and slip streaming passes.

Real life kart racer v\J.Peace took his second pole of the season very early in the qualifying session, showing that he was willing to fight back after a very troubled opening round. New entrant CoRe Feuerdrache was 2nd, in front of championship leader Xcite C.Winkler.

Top positions of sprint race were decided very early on. v\J.Peace got away cleanly, and no one could catch him before the chequered flag. Xcite C.Winkler and 5th place starter Xcite Chris did what they needed to do to get the remaining podium slots, after passing CoRe Feuerdrache at the beginning of lap 2. The race was getting even worse for the latter, when he got spun out by BLOBO a few hundred meters later; however he still managed to climb back to 8th.

This was a good opportunity for CoRe Feuerdrache to get into business. 8th place in sprint race meant pole position for main race, thanks to reversed grid. This allowed Feuerdrache clean run away in the early stages of the main race, while the front runners of the sprint race were struggling to make their way through the field. However the young German got caught by v\J.Peace with 5 laps to go. The two drivers then had a wonderful battle for the lead, swapping positions several times. Unfortunately, it had to end in a controversial way: the two contacted in the very last lap while exiting turn 1. This allowed Xcite C.Winkler to extend his championship lead with an opportunistic victory, while Feuerdrache and Peace would end up in 2nd and 3rd positions.

Meanwhile, in pool B, sprint race was taken by 6th|Sonsaku. Feature then saw an Extreme Racing 1-2, with sprint pole sitter eX.R Ascona b taking the victory in front of eX.R mathi24

With a 51 points advantage at one round to go, it looks like XCite C.Winkler has most of the job done. However, the battle for the runner-up spot looks a lot closer, with just.papax, B^mx devis, TEM/L.Chebbi, XCite K.Egloff and v\J.Peace, all grouped in 18 points. Teams' championship is still led by Xcite, 97 points in front of eX.R, and 117 points in front of TEM.

Round 1 report -XCite drivers get headstart in MRT Cup

First race of the 2010/11 MRT Cup occured as all drivers were just done with Christmas celebrations. However, all had to switch into "full concentration" mode, as they had to tame a very special combo: MRT on South City Town, with the infamous Dekojester chicane added in the last corner.

Quickly, v\James looked to be the man to beat. The real life 2010 British Junior TKM Kart Champion showed all his skills in the qualifying session, in order to take the pole by almost half a second on XCite C.Winkler and XCite Power. Peace would then convert this pole into an hat trick in the sprint race, after passing early leader XCite C.Winkler in lap 3. Meanwhile, OWRL beginner XCite Hansi managed to get 3rd place after an impressive scrap with SRT-Flip. Nevertheless, Things almost went badly for the XCite driver as he span in lap 5 and got collected by SRT car, but none of the vehicle was badly damaged. However poor Flip got distracted by the incident, went off a corner later, and came to a stop.

Top 8 reversed grid meant that a very surprising 1stBFA FOX would start the main race from pole. However FOX fell away with the pressure, and left fellow first row driver TEM/L.Chebbi alone in the lead. The Frenchman led a few laps, until XCite C.Winkler, XCite K.Egloff and XCite Hansi passed him one by one in the first third of the race. v\J.Peace was no longer a threat after being spun by Winkler on lap 4, and eventually crashing out for good two laps later. Everything was set for an XCite 1-2-3, and Winkler took the win in front of reigning champion Egloff(who climbed back from 12th after getting taken out in sprint race) and Hansi. Best non-XCite member was Chebbi, who finished 4th in front of MRT beast just.papax in 5th.

In pool 2, GoC/T.Parker took the pole and the sprint race. The English teenager had the opportunity to make it 2 out of 2 in the feature race, but he ended up with the nose facing the wall in the last corner, at 5 laps to go. This allowed pod.hama Krutch to take the win after a very clever and consistent drive.

With 1 round out of 3 completed, it looks like XCite has a clear edge on its rivals. Winkler, Hansi and reigning champion Egloff share the 3 first positions in the drivers' standings. In the teams' standings, the German team has a 49 points advantage on both TEM and eX.R, tieing for 2nd.

Last chance for the opposition to wake-up will be at round 2, on Aston Club reversed, on Friday, December, 30th.

It is that time of year again. Time to scramble into the MRT and have some fun with the smallest of all cars in LFS. Starting 27 December, the annual tradition in the Open Wheel Racing Leagues starts at South City Town using a special layout. The action continues three days later at AS Club rev and ends at the dawn of 2011 at Blackwood GP Rev. The layouts used are available from our downloads sections. Special thanks go to dekojester for letting us use his SO Town layout.

The OWRL started in 2004 as a MRT only league. Since S2 it has expanded to use all formula cars available in LFS, but the end of year competition remains reserved for the MRT5. Last season the MRT Cup was won by Xcite K. Egloff.

To signup, simply go to the upcoming events on the top hand right and register for the events you participate in. Make sure you drive a pb or upload a hotlap before signup deadline (3 hours before the race).

3id J. Lehikoinen takes championship in rollercoaster ride

You could almost hear his race engineer scream on the radio: "These are the laps". Half way through the final race of the season his main rival Tanakan was running away with things at the front and J. Lehikoinen seemed to be fighting with his car. Having not led a lap despite starting from pole, the Finnish ace dropped back in the top five multiple times and only recovered slowly. As the cars in front of him pitted, his best chance to salvage the situation and make sure the championship would go his way was using his late pit stop strategy. And did he answer the bell! J. Lehikoinen drove fastest lap after fastest lap, ensuring that when he finally pitted he got out back in front with time to spare. 3id J. Lehikoinen won the drivers championship by taking his 5th win of the season. Tanakan took second in the standings in front of TEM/Y.Laprevotte.

The team championship looked to be a fight between Sonicrealms Racing and Flash Racing. SR competed with Tanakan and Pete. Both were to be found up front in the first part of the race, but a costly mistake by Pete made him drop down the order. Tanakan lost the final podium position in the final lap to SRT-Flip, but with only one of the Flash drivers making it to the finish SR retains the team championship. Bˆmx even overtook Flash racing for second in the final standings.

As this season has come to a conclusion, thanks to everyone who participated with clean racing. Be sure to keep checking www.owrl.de for the announcement of the MRT Cup, which will start right after Christmas.

Bˆmx>devis with his first OWRL win at Westhill

After drama in turn 2 and mistakes by the top drivers, devis used the chance to take his first victory in the S2 League ahead of championship leader 3id J.Lehikoinen and fζ S.Harju- title decision takes place at Aston Historic

After qualifying no one suspected this race could have a surprise result. 3id J.Lehikoinen got pole position ahead of BLOBO and Tanakan. Come the race start, the top three could only enjoy their positions in the front for the first two corners as all three were involved in race incidents. Harju was handed first position, with Devis on his tail.

Harju wasn't threatened for the lead but Devis' strategy of pitting later allowed him to put in faster laps as Harju was struggling on a full fuel load. After a quick pit stop, Devis kept the lead and went on to take his debut OWRL victory, an impressive feat to accomplish in the Formula V8. J. Lehikoinen fought back to take second place, increasing his championship lead over Tanakan. Going into the final round, S.Harju also has a mathematical chance to win the title, but is much more likely to battle for third with Y. Laprevotte at Aston Historic. See you there!

Same drivers occupy podium after eventful AS Cadet sprint, main

JPeace, [SR] Tanakan and 3id J.Lehikoinen may have shared the podium in both races at round 3 of S2 Season 17, none of them finished the first race in the same position as the second. The start of the sprint race was clean.

(click for full size)

The 18 lap race at the short AS Cadet configuration looked to be an easy scalp for 3id J.Lehikoinen until lap 8. The Finnish driver went straight at the final corner for no apparent reason. As he later explained, his pc went back to Windows leaving him no control of the car. JPeace was handed the lead and went on to win the sprint race. Second place was handed to Arox, but first he was passed by Tanakan and then went off track, causing him to spin and drop down the field. By the end of the race Lehikoinen had fought back to third, limiting the damage of the software glitch.

With the top 8 reversed grid, things got a little tight at the start of the main race. Luckily the contact in the first two corners did not cause any driver to lose much time. TEM Y.Laprevotte was one of the few drivers using a R1 tyre strategy, This helped him at the start, but after 5 laps he started dropping from the lead. His strategy still brought him seventh place, better than his sprint race finish. 3id J.Lehikoinen performed his usual main race antics by storming to the front and then checking out. His pace was quick enough to lap everyone but the top 4. JPeace looked set for second place, but half way through the race he did a nice 720° spin losing the position to Tanakan. After a short fight, JPeace regained the position and the top three would stay as it was through the finish.

Lower down the field a sad incident occurred when Arox, after an incident with SCP Igor*Cisco, decided to take matters in his own hand, waited for Igor*Cisco and then rammed him off the track. Twice. The marshals have decided to ban Arox from all OWRL competitions for 9 months, until 1 August, 2011.

In the championship, Tanakan keeps his lead with his consistent podium finishes. However with the victory of J.Lehikoinen in the main race, things might look different once we incorporate the worst result loss. Lehikoinen has missed one event, meaning that the points he has now will be his total points tally. Tanakan has scored well in every race so far, so once his worst result (over a complete event) is dropped, he will have less points. The standings will reflect this from round 4 onwards. Round 4 takes place in 6 November at Fern Bay Green rev.

Tanakan comes out on top of FOX phase

Without winning a single race [SR] Tanakan has taken the championship lead after the conclusion of the FOX races in S2 Season 17. At Kyoto GP Long rev, the races were won by Core.Forbin and ineX T.Iivonen, both drivers that missed the first round of the season.

In the sprint race, Forbin found himself in fourth place at the end of the first lap. Fighting for first position were T.Ivonen and JPeace as they touched in the oval section of the lap. JPeace was forced to retire as T.Ivonen dropped a couple of positions. The only driver standing in the way of victory for Forbin was Redline.BLOBO, but a unforced error by the latter driver handed the lead to Forbin.

Having been involved in a crash in the sprint race, T.Ivonen set out to make up for the lost points in the sprint race and quickly drove to the front in the main. BLOBO also recovered from his first race mistake by finishing second. However, both could not stop Tanakan whose consistent performance handed him the championship lead. He will try to retain that in the Formula BMW phase of the season, starting with the event at Aston Cadet on 23 October.

Lehikoinen, Scheuerle share race wins in season opener

3id J. Lehikoinen has grabbed the championship lead in the opening round of S2 Season 17. The FBM Trophy champion started of strong at SO Chicane Route rev with pole and a dominant win in the sprint race, but was shown he could expect opposition as Johannes Scheuerle took the win in the main race.

Lehikoinen lived up to expectations by winning pole. However, with almost the full field on server 1 within one second it promised to be a closely contested event. Scheuerle kept him honest in the sprint race but as he tried to get closer he got caught out by the infamous South City chicane. The crash forced him to retire and allowed Lehikoinen apeaceful drive to the finish line, over 10 seconds ahead of [SR] Tanakan and AroX. Scheuerle's crash meant he had to start from the back for the main race, but did not stop his will to win. The German driver went like a hot knife through butter and found himself in position to fight for the lead half-way through the race. Despite dropping back due to contact with [SR] bLb the first time he got close to P1, Scheurle got involved in a jaw dropping three way battle for the lead. J. Lehikoinen, S. Harju and Johannes Scheuerle went at it for multiple laps with finally a black car emerging in the lead; Scheuerle had it and he was not going to give it away.

(click for full size)

Despite only finishing second in the main race, Lehikoinen starts the season with the championship lead. Two consistent podium finishes from Tanakan brings him second place in the standings. Things can change quickly though and we wait to see what happens at round two of S2 Season 17 on 9 october at Kyoto Ring GP Long rev.

OWRL to combine three formula cars in S2 Season 17
Krutch
S2 licensed

The Open Wheel Racing League will host its next S2 Season starting this month and this one looks a little different than other. The season has been split in three phases of two races each. A different car will be used in the three phases, starting with the Formula XR in phase 1. The Formula BMW is used in phase 2 and the season will be concluded with two Formula V8 races in phase 3. All drivers compete for the same championship, a move designed to get all the fastest drivers in the OWRL on the same servers.

Calendar

(# date: track (car) - # laps race 1 / race 2)
R1 25-09: SO Chicane Rev (FOX) - 14 / 37
R2 09-10: Kyoto GP Long rev (FOX) - 6 / 19
R3 23-10: Aston Cadet (FBM) - 18 / 46
R4 06-11: Fern Bay Green rev (FBM) - 13 / 36
R5 20-11: Westhill Internatinal (FO8) - 44
R6 04-12: Aston Historic (FO8) - 29

Phase 1: 2 events using the Formula XR. Events consist of 15 minute qualifying, a sprint race and a main race. The starting order for the main race is the finish order of the sprint race with the top 8 reversed.
Phase 2: 2 events using the Formula BMW. Same sprint/main race as in phase 1.
Phase 3: 2 events using the Formula V8. The event only has 1 race, which will be about an hour long. A pitstop is mandatory and drivers do have to change all four tires during this pit stop.

Leaving behind the division system for this season, no special rules apply regarding to the Div A license. We will use as many server as needed for all interested drivers. Servers are limited to 28 drivers per server.

Points

- In phase 1 and 2: For the sprint race 33,33% of the points will be awarded. For the main this is 66,67% for a total of 100%.
- In phase 3: as there is only a main race, 100% of the points shown below will be awarded.

In a season the worst result is dropped. The points are compared on a event basis (sprint/main race combined for phase 1 & 2). This means, if a driver completes and scores points at all six events, the event he scored the least points in is discarded. If a driver misses an event, that automatically will become his worst result.

In S2 Season 17 we will not only crown the best drivers but also the best teams. The two drivers scoring the most points for each team will count toward the team championship.

Layout announced for Aston Club

The layout to be used at the next round in the FBM Trophy is finally here. It has been created by FireDragon and given the green light after testing. The layout can be downloaded from our downloads section or by using the link below. Feel free to install it on your server.

Using Aston Club as a basis, the second turn is made a lot tighter and right before the final corner a chicane has been added. The main overtaking spot, going towards turn 1 has been left intact. In testing lap times have been around the 1:11,0 mark, but certainly these will drop after more testing.

You may set a time at the normal Aston Club configuration for the tracker. Based on those times, the grid for the qualifying race will be made.

OWRL FBM Trophy 2010 - Round 1 - Fern Bay Gold
Sunday, 8 August 2010

In 2009, the first ever round of the OWRL FBM Trophy took place at the Aston Cadet. The pole position belonged to #low J.Scheuerle with a time of 48.760s ahead of [GGC] FireDragon and n1 J.Lehikoinen. J.Scheuerle went on to win the qualifying race, sprint race and main race, each with an impressive 5+ seconds advantage. These three victories in one event leaped him ahead of the competition in the championship standings with good prospects, having completed 25% of the season.

- News report for round 1 of 2009's FBM Trophy

This time we are heading the tricky Fern Bay Gold circuit for the season opener. Any overtaking action needs to be well planned, as there are only two real chances to gain positions. One advantage of using the Formula BMW is that lack of track width doesn´t bother drivers as much as with other cars. This track starts with a hairpin and chicane, but the rest of the track consists of high speed corners and high curbs that can catch out any driver who goes over the edge.

Summer just got more interesting! Starting 8 August, four Sunday evening drives in August and early September make up Open Wheel Racing League´s 2010 FBM Trophy. In the four events LFS drivers contest a qualifying race, sprint race and main race in the Formula BMW. The season starts at Fern Bay Gold and will have a special event at Aston Club, where a layout will be used.

Please note: races will be held on Sunday evenings with the qualifying race starting at 19:30 CEST. Both are different from the traditional OWRL standards, so OWRL veterans please keep this in mind before you join a day early! The change has been made for this season to prevent clashes with LFSCART and other events.

Participation is open for everyone. You will have to create an account at owrl.de and then can proceed to use your account to signup for the 'upcoming events' and set an online time before the signup deadline. Multiple servers will be used if more than 24 drivers sign up.

Times set on LFS World (online pb's and hotlap) will determine the server you drive on and the grid for the qualification race. The qualification race sets the grid for the sprint race. After the sprint race, the top 8 of the finishing order is reversed to create the grid for the main race. Both the sprint race and the main race are awarded with points.

Calendar:
R1 08 Aug - Fern Bay Gold (sign up)
R2 15 Aug - South City Town (sign up)
R3 29 Aug - Aston Club (special layout, sign up)

OWRL S2 Season 16 Div A/B championships dominated by Chris and FireDragon

The Open Wheel Racing League S2 Season 16 started in February and recently came to a conclusion. Division A was for the more experienced drivers and uses the F3000-like Formula V8. For new drivers or those that prefer the closer racing the smaller formula cars offer, Division B races are held with the Formula XR and the Formula BMW. New this season was a team championship, but even before the final round it became clear this new rule did not change the strongest driver and team. Just like in S2 Season 15, RAPTOR | Chris claimed the Div A championship in a way which redefines ‘dominating’ and [SR] FireDragon was the strongest in Div B. Both drivers led their team effort handing the first team championships to RAPTOR-GAMING and Sonicrealms Racing.

We are days away from the start of the next Div A/B season in the Open Wheel Racing League and the rules have been announced for the new team championship that will be contested in the new season. Drivers are free to sign up for the Div A or Div B event. The rules for participation in Div A are the same as we used in the second half of S2 Season 15. Only one server will be used. As long as 28 drivers or less sign up, all drivers are allowed to participate. If more drivers register their participation, the Div A licensed drivers are first added to the server. The then remaining spots go to the unlicensed drivers ordered by their fastest times.

Div A is limited to one server, but Div B will use as many servers as needed to make sure that all drivers that wish to participate can drive. Sign up is on a per-race basis. You may change between Div A and Div B during the season.

Team championship
In S2 Season 16 we will not only crown the best drivers but also the best teams. The two drivers scoring the most point for each team will count toward the team championship. More details will be announced later.

Div A license
As we are coming up to a new Div A/B season, the OWRL is pleased to grant 14 additional drivers a Div A license to reward their performance in S2 Season 16 and the MRT Cup. Those drivers either drove and score points in Div A, finished in the top 7 of the final Div B standings or ended on the final podium of the MRT Cup. Also added was the OWRL F1 champion of 2009. The drivers that now hold the Div A license can be found here. All new drivers have been informed by mail.

Div A will use the same point system as the F1 bosses recently decided on, which already was quite similar to what we were using. The winner still get 25 points but now points only go down to 10th position. Qualifying points are still held intact. No changes are made to the Div B point system. The exact point system for bot Div A and Div B can be found at the Div A/B info page.

Call for marshals
OWRL adds K. Egloff, TimoH to admin team
Krutch
S2 licensed

It is an exciting day for the Open Wheel Racing League. Today we can announce that Kevin 'Fireball' Egloff and Timo 'TimoH' Höfer will join Stefan 'Germanpio' Piotrowski and Wouter 'Krutch' de Bruijn to form the OWRL admin team. This doubles the size and firing power for the organizing group of one of the longest running LFS leagues.

Both Kevin and Timo already supported the Open Wheel Racing League in varying roles, such as running the hosting of the servers, assisting as server admin and policing the events a marshal. As OWRL admins they will be responsible for development and implementing new ideas, events and competitions in the OWRL. Germanpio will continue to host OWRL F1 and Krutch will have the lead in organizing the Div A/B competitions.

Wouter 'Krutch' de Bruijn: "I am very excited that both Kevin and Timo said yes to this question and I hope, no expect that this will turn out to be an important step for the place the OWRL has in the LFS community. We already have been grateful for their support in the previous year. Both Pio and me have been organizing the competitions and we will continue to enjoy doing so. However, we also need to keep innovating ourselves and the OWRL has not been doing that in recent times. Given time, I am certain that our new admins can help to bring that back. Besides, it never hurts to add a couple set of hands to help at the events and a couple of brains to finalize our plans for 2010!"

Kevin Egloff, member of Xcite Racing, got public fame in the OWRL as he won the FBM Trophy in 2009 and the OWRL MRT Cup 2009/10. He did show his qualities both on and off track as he also supported the OWRL as one of the trusted server admins and marshal.Kevin 'Fireball' Egloff: "I'm really happy to be a part of the OWRL and I hope for a good start in 2010!"

Timo Höfer joined the OWRL only half a year ago and quickly got himself noted by his positive attitude and helpful ideas. Soon he started promoting the OWRL as well as adminning one of the servers at several events making this is the logical next step.Timo 'TimoH' Höfer: "I'm really happy to join the admin team of the Open Wheel Racing League. After doing my first race here in the FBM Trophy last year I was getting really used to the league and enjoyed doing the server admin job and great races which I had. I'm looking forward to the next Div A/B seasons, the funky FBM Trophy and the upcoming OWRL F1 Season. I'm sure we'll do a great job together with improving the OWRL and make it even more popular for racers all over the world."

The Open Wheel Racing League was founded in 2004 as the first MRT league. We are dedicated to bring the best open wheel racing in Live For Speed. Competitions include the trademark S2 Season series using the division A/B system, OWRL F1 and the annual end of year MRT Cup. Next competition to start will be S2 Season 16 set to begin in February.

Xcite K. Egloff crowned OWRL MRT Cup champion

Consistency wins. That is the conclusion of the OWRL MRT Cup 2009/10. Xcite K. Egloff did not had the speed to win either the sprint or main race in the final round of the cup, but unlike the other big hitters he kept his car on track at all times, was content to finish on the podium in both races and that was enough to win the title.

Before the final round four candidates for the title had emerged. Reigning Div A champion RAPTOR | Chris had the lead in the standings but did not make the final round, so he was sure to lose it. Second in the championship was Xcite K. Egloff, followed by probably the fastest of the four JPeace. Fourth and final candidate was n!Michi. One of the three racing championship elects looked determined in the sprint race. Starting in second, JPeace took the lead in lap 5. But then his hopes quickly came to an end. A small mistake in the corner leading onto the bridge - the one with the wall on the outside - and JPeace flew in the air. He followed this up with another DNF in the main race. Jpeace was out.

That left Michi and K. Egloff. Michi did not had a good start in the sprint race with a spin in lap 1. He fell back to midfield. Thinks were looking up for K. Egloff, especially after a nasty crash involving [SR] FireDragon and RAPTOR | Intre. Whilst fighting for P1 FireDragon made a small mistake in the first chicane sending him towards the wall. Intre looked like he was handed the lead but FireDragon's wall ride shooted him back towards the racing line exactly at where Intre was driving. Both FireDragon and Intre were taken out in this bizarre incident. Instead of Intre it was K. Egloff who took the lead. However n!spanneman overtook him and took the sprint race win. To make matters worse, Michi got himself back to P3. Egloff still needed a good finish in the main race to win the title.

On to the main race. After a clean start n!Michi and Xcite K. Egloff found themselves together at P6 and P7 having to work their way to the front. They both did and what developed was a tense fight between what was certain to be the top 2 in the championship. Even though the Xcite-driver could afford to finish behind Michi, this is racing and no one likes to concede. If the fight resulted in a crash the championship might have looked differently, but both kept it clean. K. Egloff got the better hand over Michi as both drivers got into the top three positions. Up front TeW GAW had built himself a big enough lead and he would go on to win the race. In the final part of the race Michi put in a final effort to at least beat K. Egloff in this race. He did, Egloff conceded his place knowing that third place and another podium finish in this season would be enough to bring home the cup. With six top four finishes, Mr. consistency K. Egloff is the OWRL MRT Cup 2009/10 champion. Congratulations!

RAPTOR | Chris, JPeace share race wins at SO Chicane

Round two of the MRT Cup has given the competition a new leader. Two drivers clearly stood above the rest in the races on the streets. RAPTOR | Chris took pole position and dominated the sprint race. JPeace came in second, meaning he had to start 7th for the main race. Using smart race craft and avoiding the minor incidents that took place, he got to the front by the end of lap 1 and never looked back. Chris finished that race in second so that both he and JPeace and took about as many points from the event. Chris overtook the previous leader Xcite K. Egloff in the standings, where K. Egloff still remains second place after a podium in the main race. JPeace got himself in the top three and the fourth and final driver that has a realistic chance for the title is n!Michi, finishing third in the sprint. These four drivers will fight for the title.

On server 2, Timo won the sprint race and then was helped by an incident in front of him in the main race, where two drivers fighting for P1 tangled and ended up upside down and in the wall. This handed Timo the main race victory as well.

The final round of the OWRL MRT Cup 2009/10 is at Fern Bay Gold rev. The race is 2 January (in earlier communications we erroneously said 3 January, but it is Saturday 2 January). Here the OWRL MRT Cup will be decided. You can signup under upcoming events until 17:00 CET on race day.

Xcite K.Egloff gets most points at Blackwood Layout

The first race of the OWRL MRT Cup 2009/10 gave us the promise of a close battle for the trophy. K.Egloff combined a 4th place finish with a hard contested win in the main to take the championship lead. But the Xcite-driver better not look in his mirrors too much, because others are close by. Div A champion Raptor | Chris is just 6 points behind, the SpeedCore team follows with PSantos and Luísíi. JPeace certainly will have a say in the rest of the season. He showed his speed in race 1 with a start to finish win but a false start in the main race costed him valuable points.

On server 2 the race wins were shared by pod-drivers Krutch (sprint) and Pio (main race), but best of them all was R4F Lysergic. Two podium finishes meant he showed the consistency that brigns him up to 11th in the standings.

The next race, the final OWRL race of 2009, is at South City Chicane on 30 december. You can signup under upcoming events until 17:00 CET on race day.
