Quite nice hd effects there. But let me ask you, what were you thinking when blurring the image? Not to be offensive or anything.. Because that blurring looks really odd. Half of the road blurred, the other not.
I think he means that the reflections should actually be reflections from the surroundings, not just light. I haven't tested Lynce's reflections myself, but judging from the pictures they look a bit unnatural. Some shots look great, I admit, but others are kinda weird.. Just my $0.02
I agree with you completely, tiptop. When you rip something, which I do not encourage, you at least give the original author credit. The source of the rip is irrelevant, so is the forum.
Shadowww, tiptop didn't say anything about us killing anyone, he just asked to give some credit. Quite reasonable, me thinks.. So don't start flaming straight away even if you personally don't like other games than LFS.
Oh... LOLZ... Now I got it. That's why my front end looks so weird... Been wondering why's that. I installed High-Res texture pack once, but then downgraded to original ones as I didn't get the car shine work properly in LFS Viewer with High-Res pack. Hmmm... Any ideas how can I fix my dds's?
On a side note, I had this same problem once, and I liked the black lights so much that after backuping I colored my lights with very dark brown. Looks great now.
Same here :P i kinda need some stuff still, to work this skin out :P
Now i have the black roof etc, but i want the black roof+trunk to follow the trunk lines :P So it flows nicely next to the lights etc I've made the rest around the Lights Carbon now, but it intercepts with the bodywork lining.
See example for what i mean
I really don't see why you can't do this yourself. (<- Not trying to be rude here..) I assume that you're using the pro kit, so just turn on the wireframe, and with that as a quide use some selection tool to cut out the carbon you don't need, or select a part to apply texture/color.
P.S. The carbon fiber texture looks nice, care to share?
Thanks, I'll try changing the green to blue. This was sort of an experiment with pearlescent effect tutorial that I found from Design Dudes's site. The corners on the front bumber are pretty much flawed, so I'll try to fix that.
What kind of gradient are you talking about here? One that comes to my mind is a transition to a bit darker colors towards the rear.
Maybe interesting, but I don't know. Looks kind a futuristic.
Futuristic..? How so? I'd describe them as pretty basic, maybe dull or aggressive (the 2nd ones), but not futuristic. I've thought of doing a led light set, that'd be a little more futuristic I guess Anyways, thanks for the comment!
Course ive seen that , there isnt much i can do for that , its the mapping of the car....
And its not a flaw in the skin , it is the mapping ... I could make the Michelin logo smaller, but then its just too small and pointless.
Since there isnt anywhere else on the skin for that Michelin sticker on the front.
Plus you hardly notice it on the skin when your driving.
I think the flaw could be fixed by shaving a pixel or two from the top of the letters. You even wouldn't have to resize. Anyway, really nice replica!
Thats good but dont make long affort that looks like 5 minute job thats just waste of your talent and time.
buts good if its handmade just shame it looks like slashed togetter quik
I think that wether the skin took effort or not is pretty much irrelevant, and so is the time put to it. What is relevant, however, is the outcome and that the skin looks good. And at least I think it looks good, so I'm happy. Ok, one thing I could improve is to redo the flake effect on the GReddy vinyls, they got very blurry after all the warping and skewing..
I that white with recoloured sporsors pasted on it no skil needed whatsoever sory but that is not good
Well yeah, maybe I could've added more detail, but I wanted to stay close to the original. I guess the only thing I'd add is the Toyota emblem on the hood, but that's it. The GReddy vinyls are scratch-made, and so is the 'power' in the HKS logo. I took my time with the skins I paint, and it's far from a 5min job. So even though it might look like no skill/no effort skin, I think it looks good, and I spent time doing it. That's all that matters to me.
Of course, that was just my opinion, you're free to think whatever you want. Thanks for the comment
Huh? I don't really see too much similarities.. But anyway, I didn't use any real life references while making these. They're, apart from the texture, made from scratch. On a side note, It's a pity that you can't put white lights (reverse lights?) below the brake lights like in the pic. Or at least I don't know how..
Thanks!
I browsed through your gallery a bit. Nice street art thing you've got going on there! I fav'd the "NY art," and liked the "Cubiks" and bunch of others very much.
Damnit I love this skin, but found some pretty serious alignment mistakes. Well, at least to me, but I'm somewhat of a perfectionist.. But anyways, JIC you didn't notice them, take a look.

And, then for my first RB4 skin. I was browsing a GTI Magazine, a tuning magazine here in Finland, and came across a cool looking Supra. So I did this replica. Nice and simple, just like I like it. I apologize for not showing the original car, but I couldn't find it from the net.
Free to use, but not to edit. Uploaded to LFSworld.
What does everyone think? For some reason I'm not too happy with it. Somethings too bland, or then it's the colors.. I don't know what to add, but it doesn't really look ready yet. Any suggestions?
