So after you insert the windows disc you cant actually install it cause it says that the HDD has some problems. I still recommend formatting the HDD using hirens boot cd, or take the notebook apart, connect the HDD to a desktop PC and format it that way.
So, you still cant get any windows to install/boot ? Try Hirens BootCD, it has a bunch of tools you could use to check/repair/format the HDD, or test other hardware parts ( RAM modules especially )
Thanks for the headsup, although i still find 55 megs too much for "only" burning CD/DVD ("the last versions are much to bloated" <- true that ). I have some kind of micro edition installed, was only 20 megs But this is legally for free so it definitely deserves a go.
I'm looking for a montior around 100€, but couldn't find that model you recommended, only 190CW9FB - costs 105 € :P would you recommend this for surfing the internet + watching movies ? (it's going to be used by my sister, cause the CRT she has is getting very blurry)
Edit: anywayz! How about some of the guys here who are deepy involved in the css scene ( by that i mean they can get their hands on a server or two and then set it up propperly :P ) create a new topic about this little event ? I think it'd be worth to try, with reworked match system /or just use the standard league match system/ .
Put me on the "not 100% sure" list, my connection has been acting funky for the last few days :| If the grid'll be full but there are some other who want to come, my spot is free for them.
Do want!1 - on a more serius note, this would be quite nice to have in LFS And while bumping an almost two year old thread, lets get wild - how about reworking the whole start grid menu - instead of a straight list there would be fields, empty squares for example, where players could "drag themselves" in ( or just click the join button to join the first unoccupied slot) - admins could turn the "player join" feature off, so only they can drag the players to their staring positions - very usefull for a league. And how about adding an option to save the results of qualifying to a file, which then could be simply loaded and LFS would set up the starting grid according to the results :P
/bump
